You see the exact same attitude from 90% of the people here. You just hope to find a couple of people who like having thought out conversations without it getting into a pissing match.

Big difference, they are in the MAAC. Ohio State just won the Big Ten Tournament.

Please elaborate. Your logic is confusing to me. Are you saying that because our team is in a better conference, and we won the conference tournament, we get to be proud of our team and act like idiots?

Isn't that what being a sports fan is all about? Christ, we're not doing string theory at Fermilab, trying to hold the Euro zone together or cutting some kid's chest open to operate on his pump. We're talking about a fucking basketball game.

Easy guys, not looking for love or respect on this board. All boards have members that will post idiotic comments, I cant control some on our board. A lot of OSU fans have posted on the Iona board which has led to good conversation over the game Friday night. I understand your mindset about Iona since a program like OSU goes into the tourney looking for a national championship. As far as Iona is concerned this weekend is like our final four. Friday night primetime on CBS against one of the top teams in the country. If we were somehow to pull this game out it probably go down as the biggest win in the history of Iona's program. Iona will have to hit their threes to stay close and hope the refs call the game tight. As far as respect hoping to gain some by being competitive Friday night.

All of our crazies, well most of them, have left the building:)

Regarding the bolded portion, you are trying to give us a false sense of security and it is not going to work:wink: Craft is going to take care of "Boom Boom".

Yes. And to suggest that because Iona is in the MAAC, that they don't get to be proud of their team is asinine, which is what Mike80 was doing.

And also, being proud of your team doesn't mean you can be a loud-mouthed asshole, especially not when the name on my degree is the name of the team you are cheering for. Taking pride in your team includes representing them well as a fan.

I'm one of the last people on this board to take sports too seriously. That being said, there's a big difference between a little chest thumping and being a rude asshole, particularly on an interweb tube. As for visitors, I think I've always been very civil towards any who've come on here who aren't juggalos, Fredoites, aggys or Paterno Cultists.

Corn Aggy still thinks you're an asshole.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there about a 96% chance of the 2 seed beating the 15 seed?

By my numbers, you're pretty close. The tournament went to 64 teams in 1985. That's 28 years of 2 vs 15 (not counting this year). That's 112 games. Assuming a couple of posts above yours is right, 15 seeds won 6 of those, for a record of 6-106, and a winning percentage of 0.054. The 2 seeds, then, have a winning percentage of 0.946.

Of course, the only thing that really matters is what happens in the one game - the previous 28 years won't help Ohio State at all.

So you are saying you have a degree from Iona?
