Indians Tidbits (2010 season)

Carrasco was ok 7.1 IP 6 H 3 ER 4K/1BB

it was 4-1 when the bullpen came in in the 8th

and they ended up losing it 6-4

they really should have shut him down after 7, much like masterson the other night. but acta is so frustrated with the bullpen that outside of chris perez and tony sipp, he has no faith in any of them. pathetic.

I'm dragging out the "LaBusta" label again. Fucker hit .207 in August and is now 2-30 in September. Aside from a pretty good 3-week showing following his recall, his major league career has been laughably bad.

Now he should go on a tear if my reverse mojo works on overhyped scrubs too.

Sad thing is even if he gets "better", what does that make him...a .245 or .250 hitter, 15, maybe 20 homers, drive in 50 or 60...not exactly the production an AL team needs from the first base slot.

Might as well start teaching Santana the ropes as a catcher. Even if he comes back in really good shape next season, it will only be a matter of time before his knees start to give away plus there is always Grady. We don't know how his surgery went

Doubt anybody has noticed, but Kerry "dead" Wood has been downright dominant for the Yankees. [censored]ing [censored]. The Indians should sue his ass for fraud.
supporting your post I would like to break his

It probably won?t thrill Indians fans to know that Kerry Wood has turned out to be one of the Yankees? best mid-season pickups in years. The Tribe closer who had a 6.30 ERA in 23 games while spending roughly eight weeks during a pair of stints on the disabled list has allowed one run in 19 appearances for New York since he joined them Aug. 1. He has an 0.44 ERA in 20 2/3 innings, and has allowed 11 hits, walked 11 and struck out 24.
Yankees pitching coach Dave Eiland noticed some flaws in his delivery, raised his arm angle higher and got him to stand taller on the mound. Eiland says his stuff is ?crisper? now.
Wood?s explanation for his success: ?My breaking ball came back.?

This really is great news:!

CLEVELAND, Ohio ? When the Indians needed a victory in the worst way, rookie right-hander Josh Tomlin grabbed the ball and refused to let go. The same Josh Tomlin who began the season in Class AAA and was not even on Cleveland's 40-man roster until the middle of the summer.

Tomlin pitched superbly in notching his first major-league complete game as the Indians defeated the Royals, 7-3, Friday night at Progressive Field.
How big was this victory on the North Coast? Not only did it snap a five-game skid, it guaranteed the Indians will avoid 100 losses. The Tribe improved to 63-91.
