Game Thread Indiana at tOSU, Sat. Nov. 23, 12pm ET, FOX

On any given Saturday.....Cignetti is not doing anything that he shouldn't be doing. Seem to recollect Tress on the basketball court, "in 360 days you're going to be proud..." and Buckeyeland ate it up. Same in Hoosierland. The negative stuff is a bunch of stuff, but hey, it got him an $8 million contract, with a hefty buy-out. Haven't exactly seen Indiana killing it on the (football) recruiting trail, so guess the recruits are a bit dubious. Their schedule isn't exactly hard, and they miss the B10 heavyweights (except for tOSU). But as the talking heads say, they are playing good team ball, so there's that. However, also read that with the expected tOSU loss, will plummet them out of the playoffs. Hard to say, but can see that path, or not, and getting into the playoffs as well. Article was about denying the SEC it's fourth or fifth team in playoffs, for the Indiana pretender and how dare they? Anyway, am glad Indy is in top 5, so tOSU won't go sleep-walking and throw down their jock strap and expect them to fold. Looking forward to this game. Would like to see tOSU come out strong, play strong for all 4 quarters, and go home with a decent win. Go Bucks!
Let’s go with “in 310 days“.

"I can assure you that you will be proud of your young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor Michigan"

compared to

"I've never taken a back seat to anybody, and don't plan on starting now. Purdue sucks! And so does Michigan and Ohio State!"

Aside from the obvious ridiculousness between a senatorial quote vs a frat boy douchebag yelling into a bull horn......notice who the main subject of each coach's comments were. Tressel.....the players. Cignetti.....Cignetti.

Kindly gtfo with that comparison.

"Run the damn ball" - If we can do that we will be fine.

And on the other side of the ball, the one word is 'discipline'....if our front 7 doesn't over pursue (especially JTT...), we should be good. I am a bit worried that early in the game, crazy crowd, our DL goes for the big play and Rourke is able to run it consistently and we let IU get confidence from the get.

Do we know the status of Zen?
I hope Zen can make a move next year, but Zen really isn’t in the mix at moment unless we have (2) significant injuries on O-line.

They’re all in on a few lineups (this includes the injury to Seth) where Zen is always option B.

They like how they’re running the football and attribute a lot of it, to the offensive line arrangement. And running the football well is the best thing possible for pass protection because play action freezes the defense.

I think Zen only factors in if Donovan Jackson or Josh Fryar get hurt (I’m knocking on wood now).

The only positive I can think of in this moment, is that at least Hinzman got (2) weeks of starting PT so he’s game ready…..that’s huge.

If Hinzman was still riding pine and only getting paste 4th quarter minutes, his confidence would be low…. The last few starts he’s had at least give him the confidence to step in at starting center knowing he “has the juice”. That’s big……
