Illinois +2.5 at TSUN (ov/un 57.5) Noon ET, ESPN

You know, Brian Griese was laughing at this shit. I can't blame him, so was I.

Michigan setting more records. Most points allowed in their history and those teams combined for the most points ever in a big ten game.

Michigan had 678 total yards and 5 turnovers. I would like to know if a team has ever had 600+ yards and 5 turnovers in a game.

I thought Illinois was suppose to have a good defense according to some people. My ass that was a good defense. Besides Bowling Green, that might have been the worst defense Michigan has faced all year.

I thought Michigan would lose this game. I thought Michigan could win 2 out of 3 against Penn St, Ill, and Purdue and was laughed at. Now that looks like a possibility. Now watch Purdue make me look like a jackass if they beat Michigan 45-42 next week.

Losing to Purdue is possible. No surprise that the Illini get Zooked.

What I find most amusing are the transitive comparisons to Ohio State and Illinois. Pryor left the game injured and came back only able to hand off and throw a few passes. Tressel clearly did enough to win and played to control the ball and turnovers.

I will say that Ohio State fans who think that TSUN will not score this year in the Shoe may not like what they see. The Buckeye defense and especially secondary have had lots of injuries and have looked vulnerable at times. I am hoping that this bye week has let the guys get a bit more healthy.

A healthy Pryor and Ohio State would have rolled Wisconsin. Even at the level they were last week, one must still believe that they will roll TSUN. But, yeah, I suppose TSUN will get on the board.

can't break the hearts of the ones who know we don't have much of a chance.

Luckily that would just be you, Zwem, and about 5 other scUM fans. The rest are still delusional enough to think BARWIS!!!1!11 is a super hero and that DickRod will coach this team to a win, even with a less than average defense.

I expect Pryor to have another 5+ TD game, even if scUM does manage to score a few times.

I don't know if it's because this is a home game for UM or because Zook coaches Illinois or because I don't think Illinois has a good enough passing game to exploit UM's horrid pass defense, but my gut feeling is that UM lucks into another win this weekend a la against ND and Indiana this year.

Well, it sucks being right in this case. I guess I'd chalk up the loss to Zook and his horrid coaching staff. The offensive play calling for Illinois when they had the chance to put the game away has already been discussed, so I'll focus on Illinois' defense. I understand having trouble stopping DR. But to let UM go on an 80-yard TD drive at the end of regulation and score a TD on each possession of OT (not to mention also surrendering the crippling two-point conversion) to a UM team who is being led by a QB the caliber of Forcier is, well, nothing short of pathetic.

should be an interesting game. Your guys defense does not seem to be as good as it was last year because of some injuries, and coming off a huge game with Iowa the week before, anything can happen. I'd say you'll still be about a 10 point favorite though. But it'll still probably be the best defense we'll see all year.

They didn't know he was a Jedi. That first fumble was just a Jedi Mind Trick. May the Forcier be with you.....

Do you really think Michigan's D can hold Purdue to 45? I highly doubt it.

Seriously though, what is the "average Michigan fan's" response to yesterday? Is it one of ignorant optimism or do they realize they're playing a gimmicky and desperate offensive scheme to try to out score the defensive ineptitude? I've always thought that the Michigan fan base was very knowledgeable with football, but their acceptance of the Rich Rod era is quickly changing my mind. They aren't Tiller's Purdue team... they shouldn't accept this horrid level of play on defense. As much as we hate to openly admit it, Michigan is one of the most storied programs in college football. But they have become nothing more than a Globetrodders show on offense and a circus sideshow on defense. Kind of sad really.

It was and is, LOOK HOW MANY POINTS WE CAN SCORE!!!!! They dont see anything else. Wearing my tOSU jersey to Firekeepers Casino ( also saw 4 others ) I actually had one guy say, we are going to drop at least 50 on you guys (tOSU) I noticed his piss colored shirt was purchased from Walmart

I see that attitude from Michigan fans quite a bit too. What I can't figure out is if that's the typical Michigan fan or if it's the bandwagon poser fan that is attaching himself to a team with big offensive numbers. As much as I hate that damn team, I really hope it's NOT the latter. I'd like to think that our biggest rival isn't a group of posers.

I'm sure that the average Michigan fan is just over joyed that they finally won a Big 10 game (other than Indiana). Regardless of how ugly it looked, it stilll shows up as a "W" in their overall record and the standings. I don't think they have any delusions of a championship right now, they're just hoping for respectability.
