I am happy for kids like Stonum, Martin, and odoms etc... that don't know what it feels like to play on a winning Michigan Team. They are Juniors now, and their only memories are of losing seasons and painful losses. The "defense" is not worth discussing anymore.

That defense is something special. Words can't describe it. That is the worst defense I have ever witnessed and I've been watching college football for my enire life.

It's the worst. Period. Horrible. Poorly coached. Poor technique. Poor tackling.

The worst.

Illinois or m*ch*g*n? The illini might have out scUMmed scUM today defensively...out of position, bit on every fake, poor coverage, awful tackling...it's like they didn't bother practicing or watching film all week.

Illini sucked bad and the scum D atleast made a "stop" on the two point play at the end. So there is that.

Also, don't forget Tater tried to give them the game in the 2d OT and they refused to take it.

Hard to fathom but today the Vulvariens did not have the worst defense on the field.

I didn't think it was possible but today the scum D was the lesser of two horse abortions.

It's truly mind boggling that a previously strong defense can just no-show an entire game like that. They looked like the team stuck with 2* scrubs, walk ons and freshman. Just totally disinterested, lazy and downright bad. But that's a Zook coached team for ya...give them an ounce of talent and they'll surprise you, then they'll get confident and no show a game against an inferior opponent. It's precisely why I didn't bet on this game. Never, ever, ever bet on a Ron Zook coached team. Never. When you get four turnovers, another on downs and score 65 points and still lose...you are a shit football team.

I'm not even sure about that..if you watch the entire game..I really thought the Illini offense left a lot of chances on the field by being TOO conservative. There is a difference between making the Michigan D stop you and stopping yourself. When Illinois would come out, run two straight run up the gut plays and then try to hit a screen pass..your throwing drives away. Michigan's defense is bad..but you have to be aggressive to take advantage of their true weakness, the secondary. If you come out and try to pull the run up the gut on 2 straight downs and then try to throw on 3rd down..even if the Michigan D still isn't good enough to stop you..you can stop yourself with 1 errant throw costing you a drive.

Even though it seems like the points are coming effortlessly, in a close, shoot out type game throwing away possessions means a lot.
