How's the weather?

My wife is really excited tonight's forecast calls for 5 to 8 inches.

Appears it's going to snow too.

News tends to exaggerate these things. She shouldn't expect much depth on this one.

We're buried in that wet, heavy snow. Wouldn't be surprised if power lines and some trees go down.

Yup, heard some limbs cracking in the distance when I went out to take this pic.

Roads are a skating rink right now, we got a few inches of snow and then hours of freezing rain. It is supposed to hit 50 today, yesterday I woke up to -15. Unreal.

It is a monsoon out right now. Can't see more than about 10 feet in front of you it's coming down so hard. Under a tornado watch as well.

two things to watch for (the whole line sucks though)

1. The cell by Texas City looks interesting...certainly there's hail with that one

2. The cells in the gulf south of Palacios could start spinning if they aren't already

i'm in Texas right now and the worst has already passed me.

the southern part of Louisiana is getting drilled as we speak.
reports of tornado in Prairieville (just outside of Baton Rouge) and funnel clouds that haven't touched down near Kenner (suburb of New Orleans).

Its windy as shit behind the line... just picked up here in Austin... it was rocking my accord back and forth at a stop light... averaging prolly 20mph with gust up near 50
