We had a water main break on the way into work on a very busy highway. Water wasn't water very long and it was up to the center of the wheels on most cars. Turned to ice. Typical construction, tear up the road to put in something new (sewers), it gets too cold to work, crew lays low for a while, pipe breaks, crew is out there in full force. I'm sure it was a freeze problem. It got to -16 on my way home from the game on Tuesday. This has to end.

I hope at least he had the windows rolled up. Hate to see that Luxury Rabbit coupe interior get wet.

True story: When my mom found out my dad was cheating on her, she went out and financed a Beetle and Rabbit for my two oldest sisters while he was in Vegas, in his name. My sister didn't even have the Rabbit for twelve months before she totaled it driving to Zantigo for tacos.

You think the weather is cold? Try living in my house with my parents from 1984 to 1986.

I don't think that Triple A membership is going to do them very much good in this situation.

Would be interesting to eavesdrop on the phone call for service, though.

BTW,
Three luxury vehicles? I'll concede the Porsche, but not sure about that mid 90s Chevy Tahoe and an '84 Rabbit coupe ...
Guys never cease to astound me with their auto-recognition skills. I can barely tell those are cars under all that ice, and you can identify the manufacturer?
(Or were you guessing?)

If you look a the car on the far right, you should be able to see a "HE" on the bumper, which are the last 2 letters in PORSCHE, so that's the giveaway there. I initially thought that the car in the middle was a convertible Cabriolet, but a Rabbit also has the same kind of look.

And I'm not convinced that the SUV on the left is big enough to be a Tahoe. Regardless, the value of the vehicles is likely to be well below $150K, unless the Porsche is around $120K itself.

The one on the left could be a 99+ Grand Cherokee.

Lass, most of the time I can tell the model based on the headlights-even after dark. Comes from hoping it wasn't a crown Vic back when I was a young lad.
