My birthday is during the first week of March Madness. As for back as I can remember, it's only been under forty degrees once on my birthday. Most years it's been over 50. So I figure we only have one month of winter left at the most.

I've already started the grieving process

The "official" snow total for my area( N.W. Ohio, totals are recorded at Toledo Express airport, about 18 miles east of me) so far this winter is 66.1 inches, third place all time. The record is for the winter of 77-78 ( can you say Blizzard of 78 Mr. Rogers?) at 73.1 inches. With most of February and early March yet to go, another 7 inches of snow is very possible, making this the snowiest winter of all time.

If we were going to break the record for single-day snowfall, you'd think this would be the winter we'd have a good shot at it. We should definitely have a good chance of setting a new seasonal total record.

-5 right now, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I see mid-40 temps with overnight lows above freezing in the 10-day forecast. Huzzah!

I love winter, but when it's so eff'ing cold you can't even have a snowball fight with your kids because of the frostbite warning (and the snowballs are chunks of ice) ... I'm sooo done with Winter 2014.
