The forecast calls for a "dusting to 1 inch" yet on current radar, the unbroken mass of darker blue stretches back to Illinois.

May depend on what part of the county you're in--some places had more snow yesterday than others, plus drifts from the wind, plus today's snow. I have a drift on my patio that's about a foot high, so I could imagine some of the outlying roads could be a bit crazy.

Bah. I drove from Grove City to Westerville 30 minutes before they issued it and I'm going home tonight even if they take it to level 3. Damn the man!

So, the idea of having someone just go out and look at the condition of the roads so they can make their own decision--too advanced for Licking County?
I think we just like to think of ourselves as the county equivalent to a suburb of Columbus. When I was in school, we'd check the news and radio to see if Columbus Public Schools were closed. They were always announced in alphabetical order and if they were cancelled, so were we.
