Heisman Finalists vBet

Glad to see they got it right. Griffin IS the reason Baylor went 9-3 and beat Texas and Oklahoma in the same season for the first time in school history.

I think Ball should've been second but not surprised the preseason favorite came in second, and the SEC running back came in third.

Lots of folks cashing in on line 1 after seeing stiffarmtrophy's forecast. I use their numbers to set the odds, but there's still risk involved, since they only have info on a portion of the voters.

And I missed my own deadline yesterday. :smash:

Yeah, I sense all of the sympathy out there.

Yeah, I would have voted Ball second after RG3 - the 38 TDs didn't get enough attention.

The 2011 season has sucked for a lot of reasons, but at least they got the Heisman winner right.

Glad to see that the Heisman went to the right player this season.

Griffin is a very well-spoken and humble guy, you can tell that he was raised the right way. Not to mention he is a hell of an athlete and that he earned the award for all the right reasons.

Stanford is the first school to have the 2nd place finisher 3 years in a row.

Army finished 2-3 in '44, 1-2 in '45, and 1-4-5 in '46.

Iowa finished #2 in '57 and '58.

Ohio State finished #2 in '73 (Hicks), #1 in '74 and #1 in '75.

USC finished #2 in '74, #3 in '75, and #2 in '76.

Georgia finished #3 in '80, #2 in '81, and #1 in '82. (Hershel Walker).

Arkansas finished #2 in '06 and '07.

Great informative post. And brings back crazy-sick memories of 1973, when we had THREE players in the top 6! Big John #2, Arch #5, Randy #6. THAT was "censoring" incredible, but will always wonder how if those votes that Arch got and Randy got cost Big John the Heisman?

I know BB is a man of research, just wondering if any other school ever put 3 in the top 6? I would highly doubt it.:oh:

Peace

PLUS! Take a look at this real close to appreciate it more. In a time where upperclass, offensive backs won the award yearly- TOSU put a SOPHOMORE, a LINEBACKER, and a "censoring" OFFENSIVE LINEMAN in the top 6! Sick.

Besides tOSU in '73, Army finished 1-4-5 in 1946 (as noted in my earlier post :wink2:). Glenn Davis "Mr. Outside" won it in '46, after being 2nd in both '44 and '45. Doc Blanchard "Mr. Inside" finished 4th (after being 3rd in '44 and winning it in '45), and 5th place finisher was Army QB Arnie Tucker.

Funniest thing about this year's Heisman.....

All the Bama fans are whining and complaining about Richardson not winning it. There was actually a call on Foulbaum last Friday:

Caller: "Hey Paul, do you think that if Richardson doesn't win the Heisman that these guys will rally around him?"

My Wife: "Honey, this is painful and just awful to listen to. Can we please change the...."
