this series is over. Dallas is just a more complete team, plain and simple. Miami seems to lack any type of killer attitude. Congrats to Dirk and crew.

Mike, if you jinx this and deny us a teary eyed Lebron, so help me...I'll come back and ding all your posts in this thread  Go Dallas

Does anyone know how Wade got a left hip contusion? I've watched the play several times, and nothing touches his left hip, nor does anything come close to doing so. And I watched the game with a sports doc who was equally confused.

...which makes his and LBJ's making fun of Dirk's sickness all the more hypocritical. DWade's a punk, IMO.

Wade and LeBron are the last two people who should fucking critisize another persons illness or injury. Wade had to leave the game in a fucking WHEELCHAIR when he hurt his SHOULDER a couple years ago. LeBron's elbow was the most talked about thing of the playoffs last year, and it wasn't just the media - he constantly brought it up.

I thought the hip injury was something that he had been dealing with in the regular season... I'll say this... hip injury and basketball not a recipe for playing well into your 30s... if its contusion then the point is moot, if its a real injury, the its only a matter of time.

Dirks response to the coughing joke that LBJ and Dwade tried to make. At least we won't be seeing Dirk making fun of Wade having a hip injury.

@WindhorstESPN: said cough video was "a little childish, a little ignorant." Said he's been in league for 13 years & never faked injury or illness
@WindhorstESPN Ironic that Lebron mocked Dirk after faking an injury last year? @LeBronsElbow

Seriously. D.Wade may have been hurt on that play, but he waited until the TV timeout to go grimace and sprawl over on the sideline, like he tore his hamstring. The guy is a great athlete, and as far as athleticism goes, the only guy on that team that I somewhat respect (just a little bit).

With that being said, karma's a bitch. You run your mouth, and you'll get yours sooner or later. Dirk has played with a torn tendon in his left hand - his non-shooting hand, albeit - and flu-like symptoms, without even suggesting that his conditions have affected his play. Wade and LeBron, especially, are quick to voice their narrow-minded opinions whenever adversity comes along, rather than facing the challenges/facts like men. Instead, they'd rather bitch and moan about how their flops aren't acknowledged as fouls on the Mavs' end, and how "we know what the term 'bandwagon' means."

Miami awaits, and that's what scares me. It's not that I don't think the Mavs are capable of beating the Heat in their own stadium - as they have already proven - it's just that like most other basketball fans, I am fully aware, and anticipating, questionable officiating. They always get it in Miami. If Dallas wants to win one of these next two, then they need to outplay them the entire game, and not leave any room for the primadonnas of South Beach to act themselves back into the game.

Dallas has won something like 7 of their last 8 or 7 of their last 9 road games. I have no problem with them going back to Miami as they pulled out a win in Game 2 there. Dallas just has to get production from Berea and Terry if they want to win. Kidd will be there scoring and dishing the rock, as will Dirk. They need offensive production from more than just those two.

Dirk uses that left hand just as much as his right when he drives to the basket. May not affect his shooting much, but I'm sure it doesn't feel great when he drives to the hoop. The three stooges need to take notes from Dirk on how a superstar should act. Dude is a class act as far as the NBA goes in my book.

I hope this works as well as BM80's reverse mojo BS in the Red Wings threads.

I'd say it's even money right now. I think Miami has at least a 60% chance of winning on Sunday, and if they win that, their odds in game 7 go up to 75 or 80%.

If Wade's hip is seriously bothering him on Sunday, though, I like the Mavs chances.
