Texas Fourth-Grader Suspended For Telling Classmate He Could Make Him 'Disappear' With Magic Ring
A boy in Texas was suspended after he told a classmate he could make him “disappear” with a magic ring from the fictional Lord of the Rings films.

9-year-old Aiden Steward of Kermit, Texas had just watched a film from the Hobbit series of movies with his family, returned to school excited and imaginative. He playfully made the comment to his classmate while pretending to wield the powers of the magic ring. Aiden was subsequently suspended for making a “terroristic threat” towards the student.

Seriously, before I opened the link, I thought this had to be from an Onion-esque website. Surely this is satire? But, no.

Idiots...

The Steward family, who moved to Kermit only six months ago, has already seen a fair amount of trouble with the school district. Aiden was suspended twice before the ring incident — once for referring to a fellow student as “black” and a second time for bringing his favorite book, "The Big Book of Knowledge," with him to school.

“He loves that book. They were studying the solar system and he took it to school. He thought his teacher would be impressed,” Steward said.

Time for home school folks

That school district you moved into is full of the Stepford/PC mafia/soccer mom types that simply cannot co exist with rational human beings.

Big rigs carrying frozen chicken, bees collide on California interstate, sending up fireball

http://www.startribune.com/nation/290558211.html

INDIO, Calif. — A big-rig hauling frozen chicken collided with a truck carrying bees in Southern California, igniting a fireball that quickly cooked the chicken.

The California Highway Patrol says the crash on Interstate 10 near Palm Springs occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Monday.

The truck with the chickens burst into flames and was incinerated, but the driver escaped with minor injuries.

The driver hauling the bees was not hurt, although highway patrol officers on the scene reported bees buzzing everywhere.

Mmmmmmmmmm....instant grilled chicken with honey glaze.

Bruce Jenner is Transitioning into a Woman

http://www.people.com/article/bruce-jenner-transitioning-woman

Maybe he wants to make an olympic comeback?

People will do anything to keep a reality show?

He's sick of people mis-pronouncing his last name gender?

That's all I got...

And his family, including children Cassandra, 34, Burt, 36 (with ex wife Chrystie Crownover ) and sons Brandon, 33 and Brody, 31 (with ex wife Linda Thompson), as well as daughters Kendall, 19 and Kylie, 17 (with Kris Jenner) are adjusting to the new Bruce.

Doesn't look like Bruce was too upset about being male...

And this:

Jenner's much-documented physical appearance (he's been photographed with longer hair, manicured nails and wearing makeup) has led to much speculation,

Hmmm. Yeah, I can see how that would lead to speculation. Like, d'ya' 'spose the Cubs will win the pennant this year?

What freaking speculation? How bleeping obvious is that, that there'd be any-flipping-thing to "speculate" about?

Why is this such a big story now? There was speculation way back in the late 90's after he got his first face-lift that he wanted to be a woman. I seem to remember a an SI article about it.

Not entirely sure how I feel about this, other than mildly jealous...guess some folks decided the car he needed was a Lamborghini.

Detroit Man's 21-Mile Walk to Work Inspires Thousands to Raise Over $200,000 for Car

http://videowall.accuweather.com/de...-to-raise-over-200-000-for-car?autoStart=true

He seems like a nice enough man, but I gotta say, there are a few questions that come to mind about this situation. Like, does he rent? He was off on week-ends, right? Why didn't he take that time to look for a place closer to his job?

Not sure if we're looking at the same article, but he lives with his GF who owns a house that she inherited. So no rent with long commute beats paying rent and short commute.
