HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Klatt’s synopsis

1) D tackles are awful and need immediate help
2) Must get better at running the football and do not have an identity to their run game since Dobbins left.
3) Day and staff made some mistakes which is a reflection of him. One of few coaches that he would send his boys to play for.
4) The Michigan teams we built during our streak on are some of the worst in Michigan history.
5) Day’s 45-5 and 4 of those losses to top 5 teams.

All of that is fair. I just want to add that the corners were and have been horrible. They wouldn't turn their heads around to see a naked chick running across the Shoe.

I agree once Hall was injured we got nothing out of or defensive tackles. Not sure what happened here as Larry is supposed to be a legend. I guess not having a Bosa or Young to take doubles is starting to show up.

Running the football is tough because the top 3 backs going into spring were injured. That's hard to overcome. Also not running a proper read option is horrible and unforgiveable.

Was Burke hurt this year?

Something physically or mentally seemed off with him.

1 doesn’t surprise me. LJ loves Vincent and Hamilton and they consistently grade out among the worst defenders on our team on PFF. Hall and Tyliek are always near the top.

For the season, the only person with regular usage rated worse than Vincent and Hamilton was JK Johnson.

I'm surprised the bat signal didn't go up for @BigWoof31 , but Kirby played and lettered at Georgia.
Oh I know, but my comment was more towards the poster who was talking about OSU pursuing coaches from OH

Yes, and not only was he hurt, but so was every CB on the team(there were only 6 of them ) except Jyaire Brown who looked like a lost puppy at times.

tOSU not the better team for two years. And now are we more talented or is our talent over rated. The two graduates on our OL that everyone hated start on Sunday. So it’s not talent.
One can be the better overall team and nonetheless lose a game. Or do you think Iowa and Pudue were "better than the Buckeyes" when Urban's teams shit the bed?

That's an honest and fair assessment. I agree with him, Day is one of the good guys in football, and parent's obviously trust their boys with him as HC. But he has to do better.

I think this is the first time Day doesn't have anybody to blame but himself.

He can turn this around.

Day can right this.
