HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Days play calling has been questioned but the mechanics are even worse.Clunky . Late calls , delay of game, wasted time outs , false starts, no use of tempo, the dreaded snap simulation look at sideline, The Wilson/Day thing is slow.
I think the issue is he is both HC and play caller during games. He is unsure and it shows. You can't get a grip of the whole and minutia at the same time. You just can't. So he probably should find his Todd Monken, and just put the trust in him to gear the sails, while giving input from a larger perspective. I don't think he feels comfortable handing it over to Kevin Wilson during the game for whatever reason.

It's like having a Ferrari at your disposal and your fucking around with trying to figure out the gear shift.

Was Burke hurt this year?

Something physically or mentally seemed off with him.

There were some issues with Burke in early part of season….I think they gave him a few mental breaks during game weeks (I also think they hid the mental breaks and hid it behind injury to most likely not force him into awkward media issues……give Deion Sanders a lot of credit….he did this with Travis Hunter to great effectiveness this season at Jackson State. After game 1 Deion thought too much was on his plate and too much was being made of his freshman campaign…..so he sat him multiple weeks and didn’t reinsert him into lineup until he felt Hunter could handle the responsibility being asked of him).

I feel like Burke absolutely lost his confidence this year, and it’s now basically shot. He needs to be rebuilt this off-season.

This off-season is gonna be interesting to me from a roster standpoint.

I think tOSU is well within reason to look to the portal for a RB, CB, OT/OG, & DT.

At this point, with the boys not getting it done against Michigan, it’s really not up for debate. Step up or get recruited over via the portal. I don’t see a single thing wrong with it based on all the injuries and lack of depth we faced throughout year.

Not to pile on talk much, but let’s not forget this is second game against Michigan in a row where special teams sucked.

Last year Fleming fucked us from the jump.

This year we had two punts that should’ve pinned Michigan deep
and our gunners shit the bed. Ballard absolutely whiffed on an opportunity to keep the ball in play but didn’t get it done which was hugely disappointing.

Then Fleming played gunner and inexplicably got suckered by the punt returner who baited him into following him to the 15 yard line when the ball was rugby style kicked and just slowly rolled into endzone. If Fleming smartly realizes a rugby style punt is likely not catching a shit load of hang time and the punt returner is faking him out, we again have Michigan inside the 5.

I don’t know…..there’s so much little shit that needs to be cleaned up to be elite. I feel like this is what separates Georgia now….every detail is attended to.

I thought Ballard got it it hit the TSUN player and bounced back but I wasn't 100% sure and didn't get a replay. I'm not going to rewatch that crap either.

Agree on all positions except RB. If all are healthy, then you have: Henderson, Williams, Pryor, Hayden and true frosh. That’s plenty for a RB room. There was bad luck with injuries this year, that doesn’t always happen at one position. And that’s without including Trayanum in a pinch.

Ballard had the ability to kill that before endzone if he plays ball correctly…..he didn’t make sure he ran past the ball rl be in position to kill it. Just a huge mental mistake……u always make sure u put yourself in position to beat ball to endzone on positional punts.

Teams aren’t retrying punts when you’re kicking from the 50. It just doesn’t happen.

For some reason our team doesn’t know that…..shocking.

As much as I appreciate Valenti's viewpoint, it's almost as if he is setting TTUN up for the big let down. There is no way that TTUN is better than UGA, based on what I saw when they played TN. I never bought that OSU was going to beat UGA this year. I saw too many areas of weakness.

And no, Valenti, OSU is not broken, however, they need to fix some fundamental issues that are destroying our teams chances for success.

The neglect with Coombs, Stud and apparently the DT situation fall on Day. This was a festering pile of crap that he needs to dig out from under, which probably wasn't and didn't happen overnight.

However, I am not sure why he isn't as open to looking into the transfer portal for obvious needs. There are quality options out there; case in point the center TTUN grabbed from UV.
