There's always unexpected bumps in the road. Injuries, weather, etc... But this team is the best I've felt about since '19.

A LOT of money has been spent to bring this team back after the TSUN cheating scandal, still national championship runs need a lot of luck as well. Expected? No. Grabbing the pitchfork and tiki torch if not? Yes!

Exactly. All the "Natty or Bust" people seem to forget that a lot of things have to go right for it to happen, and most of it is out of control of the team and coaches. Regardless of talent, there is an element of luck involved. All the team can do is play the games and win.
Case in point. JT Barrett will always be one of my all time favorite Buckeyes, but how many think the Bucks would have gone on to win it all in 2014 if he wasn't injured and replaced by Cardale? Strange things can happen during a season, some good, some bad.
That said, I believe this is the most talented team we have seen in years, and of course the expectations are high, but the "Day should be fired if he doesn't win the Natty" people are nuts. As others have said, beat TCUN, win the B1G and make a deep run in the playoff should be considered a good season. A Natty would be icing on the cake.

Of course. Eligibility rules have been thrown out the window. Players can transfer to 27 different schools over 8 years and be paid without restrictions. CFB has never been better!

Gosh the drivel. There are a plethora of "experts" explaining why Day will be the first coach fired this year with his next job in the SEC, etc. Oh, the click-driven revenue models of today.
