The most telling moment was when Wilson slipped and moved forward with a sudden jerk (well, 7 or 8 jerks). The Michigan group surrounding him moved quickly with him. It wasn't as though they were after a fumble or something because there was no contact. It was as though they were trying to maintain an assigned position.100% agreed. I too have been watching this several times. Dontre is surrounded. He crawls/scoots away and is surrounded again. Thru the first 14 seconds, there are always way more sCUM folk around. The refs are incapable of controlling the situation.
The only point of reference I have is the videos of the Minnesota/OSU basketball game in 1972, which though more severe, is the only other time I have seen flagrant malice.
Also note the persistence with which Jenkins-Stone went after the helmet and how he then retreated. I don't believe that was cowardice. It was another assigned role given to a player whose absence would not be a major factor.
