Glenville continuing a successful OSU connection

Columbus -- The Glenville-Ohio State football legacy continued this season with the passing of the couch.
The red sofa formerly lounged upon by OSU receiver and Glenville grad Ted Ginn Jr. is now the centerpiece of the off-campus apartment occupied by sophomores Robert Rose and Ray Small, two of the six Glenville High grads on the 2007 OSU roster.
"We got a couple of other things from Ted, too," Rose said. "A TV, a trash can, a couple of bins to put things in. And his picture is all over my locker. He was just a great guy and he taught me a lot when he was here."

It is common knowledge throughout high school football circles in the greater Cleveland area. What TGS does is great for Ohio State, but he's not helping kids the way people think he is. Many of the Glenville players come from suburban high schools or even private schools. Don't get me wrong, I think its great that he is keeping some inner-city kids out of the street by putting them on a football field, but Glenville does not play by the same rules as everyone else...
