That's a good point...but apply that to compliance and that is a sword that could cut both ways. Leave them in and it says we do not care if we don't have a handle on it, cut them and tacitly affirm that we were not handling our business.

I'd think the NCAA would err on the side of housecleaning being a good thing if they had an issue with how things were done. In any event, I'm sure that tOSUs and UFs of the college football world retain experts in the field to advise us of how to proceed in times like these.

ok then im ignorant...i liked gee before the sisters of the poor comment, the ohio state/michigan tie comment, the press confrence with gene smith and other stuff...besides the comments i think hes great...way better then karen fucking holbrook...screw her....but if the NCAA finds out he was in some way tied to something with tressel and the withholding of information then who knows what will happen...but im ignorant so dont listen to me

Gee's a geek. A nerd. He didn't know anything about this because he didn't even fucking know a tie isn't considered a win.

He's the best university pres in the country. They didn't lure him back to fire him over football.

If Ohio State was smart. After this all gets settled, they should review the Athletic Department from top to bottom. If they were even smarter, they should bring in the NCAA or some other organization recommended by the NCAA as they are doing this review to look for ways to tighten down any weaknesses.

By bringing in the NCAA or their recommended group shows Ohio State being transparent and trying to improve operations vs standing put.

What has helped Ohio State in the past with the NCAA has been their openness and willingness to call the NCAA on any possible infractions on their part. Thus one reason why we are a model organization to them. By doing this review with their assistance we again open that door of cooperation between the NCAA and Ohio State.

I would go so far as to see if we could get the NCAA to do a regular open house with them to help ourselves better police ourselves.

By doing these things, we show the NCAA we are not trying to hide things. That we are open to finding better to ways to operate our compliance department.

Lol...I can see it now in true the Godfather fashion...Gee comes to Gene Smith and tells him that he's going to send him on a vacation...all he has to do is admit whether it was Tressel or Pryor..."But I never knew until this day, that it was Tressel all along." Seriously though, I hope our compliance dept. gets cleaned up, and Gene smith is the AD to do it.
