Still fortitudinous
We are lucky we were able to score that much and escape with a victory.
Finally.

It probably lies somewhere closer to the ability of the QB though.
I think this is the approach any reasonable person might take. I think then we can agree that the Vince Young caused more of those TD receptions than the recievers. Now if we just put into some kind of terms that people who have been exposed to too many high energy photons could understand we actually might come up with one more intelligent poster on this thread.
Uh, didn't he get stuffed? Huge difference between a freshman RB getting stuffed and a wide-open senior TE flat out dropping a perfectly-placed ball. And Hamby's drop was one big missed opportunity. Antonio Smith was about 3 inches from tackling your kickoff return man in the end zone.
Bottom line is that grampies was implying that Texas scored only enough to win, which was hardly the case.
Obviously, we haven't yet discussed all the possible, hypothetical combinations of plays between the two 5,000 post threads that could have resulted in a different outcome in a game that was played almost one year ago, and has no bearing on the game this season since many of the principals are gone. :pIsn't this thread titled: Game Two: at Texas 9/9/06 ?
Just wondered...
I believe that Hamby drop took place with about 6:30 left in the 3rd quarter. Let me say that again, the 3RD QUARTER. If you can't understand how clock, lead, situation all factor into how a team executes a more conservative versus a more aggressive gameplan as a game winds on, well, then I guess you're pretty much the same as the guy that keeps talking about Hamby's drop and our 25 whopping points as the end-all-be-all of inmature, narrow-minded fans. Those of us on both sides have testified to the talents and heroics that Vince Young displayed, and after what we've seen from him in this among other games, I have a hard time believing that you're dismissing the possibility that he could have overcome the challenge of an added touchdown by Hamby with so much time left in the game. Not only that, but while we're second guessing, don't get us started on the same lack of execution that led Texas missing opportunities throughout the game despite excellent field position (1st drive 1st down inside the 10, dropped interceptions, thrown interceptions, Melton's Leap of Faith, blah blah blah).
I know what you're saying, and I'm sure its frustrating but get over it. The only reason people keep giving you reasons is because you're bringing up the same tired story.

I read a quote from Mack Brown that Snead will get more reps in pre-season workouts. Could this be a clue that he will be the starter on Spetmebr 9th?

I looks like the ball crossed the plane, but thats only because Melton's enormous gravity field is distorting the light around him. The officials in the booth were aware of this and made the right call.
