Game Thread Game Two: #1 Ohio State 24, #2 Texas 7 (9/9/06)

I doubt it. I know that you were kind of being tongue in cheek there, but Brown has played in a lot of big games in the past, and performed very well. You cannot simply reload, we're finding that out early on with our LB replacements. His replacement is very fast, but also very short. Plus, 40 speed doesn't equal game speed.......especially when you are trying to remember your assignment. The potential is there, but you can't put a value on experience.
Advantage - Ted Ginn, Jr.

Ramonce Taylor was not on the team during the time of his arrest because he was academically ineligible. We had all but given up on him when he got in trouble. However, there was still a chance of him returning. The weed deal was the last straw.

I suppose Texas is marijuana U, along with the other 118 D1 universities. I think 247's wall just shattered.

There is only 116 D1 football teams get it straight.

The current situation with Tarell Brown really sucks! I was coming into this game cautiously optimistic, unlike last year. Last year I felt very similar to how Buckeyes feel this year, confident in my Quarterback.

Either way, I'm still pumped for this game but the scales have tipped further in the favor of OSU. If Teddy Ginn and Troy Smith, don't put up big numbers now, I would be completely shocked. We've got some young guys that will have to play big minutes, and they will certainly be exposed. Both Brandon Foster and Ryan Palmer give up height, speed, and experience to Ginn.

Last year we had veteran studs in the secondary and I was confident they could handle the Buckeye receivers. This year with the departure of Huff, Griffin, and now Brown things certainly look bleak. I'm now more interested in seeing how the young guys will step in and play. This tells you alot about the strength of your program. When you're forced to rely on your two's and three's on the depth chart. Still can't wait for Saturday.

2 Longhorns arrested today!

Starting CB Tarrell Brown (assigned to Ted Ginn for the game) and starting LB Aaron Harris arrested on weapons and marijuana possesion today. I saw it on a Longhorns blog and on ESPN - College football.
This could be the up there as the dumbest move ever by a college football player! :osu:
