Yeah, they've cut the black gate it seems. Hopefully they introduce the elk rider next season.
Which is really unfortunate. I really hope they don't just ignore him as they did with Strong Belwas & Edric Storm. You can only leave out so many characters from the books before it gets to be too much.

Gotta make room for more Podrick Payne dick jokes.
I enjoy those thoroughly, but was very disappointed Strong Belwas didn't make it. Really liked him and his crude ways in the books.

And for Evil Mc[censored]ingCrazy to torture Theon Greyjoy.
Ramsay Snow, er, Bolton is very important in the books, so his scenes are very necessary. I'm not a big fan of cruelty and what not, but seeing it done to Theon Greyjoy, er, Reek is very deserved. I think they've done a pretty good job with it so far in the show.

I don't really mind most of the changes, but I do get pissed when they cut epicness in favor of dick jokes and clothed hookers. I know why they do it sometimes, Theon can't just disappear for an entire season and a half, for instance, but other times it feels like D&D are trying to "make it their own", and that's disappointing.

Overall, I love the show and it's a great adaptation. That being said, it really sucked that not one of Robb's Bannerman murdered at the RW was anything but an extra. Less Talisa and more Mormont/Glover/Manderly would have been preferable to me.

I completely agree with your views. It's there TV show, so they're doing what they want with it, but while it may be disappointing at times, I think they've also done a really great job with it as well. There's just so much going on in the books & there's obviously going to be pieces left out of it unfortunately.

I'm all with you about the Red Wedding as well. The only Bannerman you really even saw on the show after season one were Roose Bolton, Rickard Karstark & Edmure Tully. You never even heard a mention of the others, notably the Greatjohn, which was really a shame. I think they didn't want to add any more confusion to the show for the non-book-readers and kept those mentioned above out of it, but they were key houses & characters in the books.

Not certain if this should have it's own thread or not. What are your predictions for the final outcome?

1. Jon Snow is the third dragon rider and wins the Iron Throne.
2. Stanis burns himself alive so the Red God can have his kings blood.
3. Jamie kills Cersei.
4. Arya winds up getting killed unexpectedly.
5. Tyrion and Sansa wind up honoring their marriage and become wardens of the North.
6. Jamie takesover kings landing

Honestly, this might warrant a Romper Room type of opt-in thread for those of us that have read the books. Like the Romper Room, the thread shouldn't be visible from bpSpy for non-members.

Thoughts?
