I don't think that's anything new. There are plenty of reasons why the sport is trending in the wrong direction.....this isn't a priority.Which is why the sport is getting worse

What a freaking gut punch.
Pivot to new names on the board. And the Portal will always be an option. And it seems like that will have to be a viable option for defensive recruiting going forward. Getting defensive players from the south is the tallest of tasks. But if you can get a kid who produced at a lower tier program, than you take a flier on him(I.e. Igbinosun, Carter, McAllister, etc)
With any sport, if the players don't care about winning a championship, the interest in that sport will fade away.-I don't think that's anything new. There are plenty of reasons why the sport is trending in the wrong direction.....this isn't a priority.
Once they're on the team, of course they're going to try. But if I'm an elite TE, for example, do I want to go for a natty at Ohio State, or to get the NFL potential that Iowa brings? I'm talking about choosing your school. If you have legit NFL aspirations.....not just really hoping it happens, but you have the talent, and coaching could make you a first rounder.....national prominence should probably take a back seat. With any sport, if the players don't care about winning a championship, the interest in that sport will fade away.
Oh for sure…. But you have to figure there’s 1.5-2 mil on the table from someone else.
The way I see it is KJ thought 200-500k is worth sacrificing a championship for etc. Not saying that’s wrong either but it’s not like he wasn’t going to make anything at OSU/UGA.
Yeah and I expect the crazy NIL deals for the teams trying to buy a championship will dry up in a decade if they don't win it all.I honestly think many of these kids treat this as a means to get money and go to the NFL. He may not win a NC with FSU, but that program won't hold him back if he has NFL talent.
Honestly, that's where I'm at here. Bolden seemed like a kid that saw past the immediate cash grab. Pretty much no kid is immune to it now it seems, and by no means am I blaming him for taking that deal. But for any semi-purist of college football, it is disheartening to see even if it's the new reality. With any sport, if the players don't care about winning a championship, the interest in that sport will fade away.
You are getting tiresome. The defensive staff is showing that as a whole they fail on the field and more and more often on the recruiting trail but other than on the field and recruiting, we're totally fine.
Just don't call them out or complain about it because that is sooo much more annoying than getting blasted by tsun or losing to UGA.
