GA DB KJ Bolden (Georgia Signee)

KJ Bolden is listed as a WR on Florida State commitment list. I know he’s said they’re starting him at Corner and also said himself that he prefers WR.
Sounds like they want him to be a two way player for them, in the same vein as Travis Hunter before he flipped.

Makes even more sense why OSU didn’t land him. No way does he make OSU as a WR.
It‘s more fun to blame Knowles.

Birm made quick mention on a podcast earlier this week that FSU wanted to start him at CB and that that supposedly played a factor in his recruitment (Birm didnt mention anything about WR). I appreciate that the Ohio State staff didn't tell him what he apparently wanted to hear and blow smoke to him about playing any other positions for us when he could legitimately be a potential generational talent at safety in a down recruiting year for the position nationally

And again, if he's not going to Ohio State, I'm legitimately happy he's taking his talents to Tallahassee instead of Tuscaloosa or Athens

Agreed! Last thing I'd want is to bring in a kid who's unsure of his position and not on the same page with the staff on his best position. OSU wanted him at S. At CB or WR, Bolden isn't even an option in this class, IMO

Were the coaches aware of his position uncertainty you think?

Seems odd to put together the biggest NIL package to date for a recruit if you knew he was going to make a dealbreaker type ask.

Exactly. The current staff struggles as it is with cyrrrnt players that are tweeners or can play both ways just not amazingly. If it was going to be more developmental work, NIL bag, and a player needing his name on the offensive stat board - nahh, we’re good here. Best of luck to him.

Didn't get a sniff about him playing WR. Woulda thought that tOSU coaches would have said, "sure, we'll try you there" knowing full well that a kid as smart as he is would figure out pretty fast that his WR skills couldn't match the fourth stringers out there already. Maybe tOSU's pitch has evolved to this is where we see you in our scheme...dunno. Mayhaps the Ruiz thing will curtail the NIL $ being proffered by U of Miami, and he'll be back on the market. Or maybe the S decommit from Georgia (to Bama) will change his thinking. Still several months until December LOI time. Go Bucks!

Lots of conflicting information out on KJ Bolden.

Chad Simmons: By far the most buzz is around Auburn.

Steve Wiltfong: I believe Georgia will close this one out.

Both are saying to bet on the field instead of Florida State.

Feels like deja vu all over again - will be interesting to see where he ends up. Hell of a player.
