G/F Evan "The Villain" Turner (2010 Naismith Winner)

BuckeyeXtra - The Columbus Dispatch : Men's basketball: OSU insider

Turner, meanwhile, repeatedly has said he's coming back but is aware he is a potential first-round draft choice. He could enter his name in the draft and pull out before June 15. Keep in mind, though, that an underclassman can submit his name only once, so if Turner does it this year and comes back, he can't do it again next year without forfeiting his senior year.

I found the bolded part very interesting. I did not realize that.

Players can work on their skills individually with the coaches during spring quarter. They should be busy. If Evan Turner is going to be remade into a point guard (assuming he returns), he has to tighten his ball-handling and involve his teammates even more than he did this season. A point guard, triple-teamed as Turner was going to the hoop at the end of regulation against Siena, would have dished the ball to B.J. Mullens for the game-winning dunk.

Turner tried to do too much at times and the Buckeyes suffered the consequences, but where would they have been without him? He finished as one of nine players in NCAA Division I to lead his team in points, rebounds, assists and steals, shot 50.3 percent from the field and ranked 26th nationally in free throws made. He was close to his first triple-double against Siena with 25 points, nine rebounds and eight assists.

Which NBA prospects have helped or hurt their draft stocks during the tourney so far?

Who's Hot
Evan Turner, SG, So., Ohio State
Turner's team may have been ousted in the first round, but it wasn't his fault. He had a spectacular game for the Buckeyes, scoring 28 points, grabbing 9 boards and dishing out 8 assists. The performance confirmed the opinion of a number of trusted scouts who feel Turner is the most underrated player in the draft.

"He's so solid in so many areas of the game," one veteran scout said. "He needs to improve his perimeter shot, but the rest of the package is there."

Turner is currently projected to go somewhere between the late lottery and the middle of the first round. However, after the Buckeyes lost, he said he's returning to Ohio State for his junior season. But we'll see if that holds true. In the past, players often say similar things when their team is ousted from the tournament, only to reverse course after exploring their draft options more fully.

Scout.com: Turner To Return For Junior Season

By Jardy

a snippet:
Now, after talking things over with his mother, Iris James, and exploring his options, the first-team all-Big Ten swingman has decided that he will be returning to the Buckeyes for his junior season.
“Evan said he will be coming back to Ohio State,” James told BuckeyeSports.com. “You can write that.”

Doesn't change my feelings. Get back to me if he doesn't get an eval. I hope like hell he comes back, I think he'd be a favorite for B-10 POY, but if he gets at least a mid-1st round rating (very likely), millions of $ are hard to turn down. Hope I'm wrong...really, really hope I am. Call me jaded if you must.

Why would he set up a vbet for something thats already been decided?
