The bad news for CU is that they will be breaking in a new quarterback in the Shoe with only a few games under his belt.

The great news for CU is that Cody Hawkins will no longer be their quarterback next year.
Cody Hawkins wasn't their QB for most of last year either, he lost his starting spot.

To be honest, the only CU game I remember watching last year was when they got waxed by Toledo, and I believe Hawkins started that game. I think I compared Dan Hawkins to a stubborn little league coach who refuses to put anyone besides his own kid at shortstop. It's good to hear that changed later in the year, because I kept thinking there had to have been a better option at QB on that team.

Anyone remember when this kid was on that Summer House show with Chris Spielman? That was actually a pretty good group of guys on that show Taylor Potts (Texas Tech), Terrance Austin (UCLA now in the NFL), London Crawford (Arkansas now in the NFL) among them.

You wonder if Hawkins might have developed a little better as a player being coached by someone other then his dad. I'm sure the old man didn't TRY to baby him but you know how that can work out.
