Game Thread For the Natty vs Notre Dame, Jan. 20th, 7:30 ET on ESPN

Likely to be Jagusah at LT. Was slated to be the Day 1 starter before the season - then suffered what was potentially a season ending injury.

Worked himself back and filled in at Guard for his first action last week. It’ll be the first start and playing time at LT for the 6’6” 330 giant.

Notre Dame fan here. I think our talent level has been greatly underestimated in these playoffs because we are "a year early"

We will lose just 4 starters on D. And return basically the entire 2 deep on offense minus Leonard and maybe a TE(but its ND we always have a stud TE waiting). The competition particularly on the OL next year will be insane.

WR Jordan Faison is an extremely underrated player 1 to watch out for if ND beats you he'll be a key player
Welcome!!

If this game gets to be a defensive battle, I'm comforted to know that our punter has been pretty clutch. Flipping the field will be key here. ND may not be able to move the ball nearly as effectively if they are constantly starting at behind their 20 yard line.

I figured this would be their move. First game back is vs this DL? Damn good luck

Basically ever scenario except like 5 turnovers the Buckeyes are looking good. They would have to have literally everything go wrong to lose this game.

Which we’ve done before. We can absolutely lose this game although it’s not likely.

They will not be able to throw the ball vs this secondary that I do know. However I worry about the running of Leonard. For some reason teams know it’s coming and have troubles stopping him.

We said the same thing about TCUN though and we still had a trash game plan and didn’t excute.

I still think the best bet is to be incredibly aggressive down the field early. Score 2-3 times before the half and force them into a game they don’t want to play. That’s why I think if the OL gives Howard time we’ll win provided we don’t have bad turnovers etc.

This was the team from the other bracket I preferred not to play as I said early in the playoffs. I’m glad it’s not UGA since it’s in Atlanta but NDs mobile QB and good secondary can give us trouble.
