Florida 31, Alabama 20 (Final)

Yes! You were talking about high performance offenses not coming through in big games. Both have high performance offenses, and it's stated okie's d isn't steady, but Florida hasn't faced an oklahoma offense either.

No, I'm talking about D vs. O, not O vs. O. UF's D will make OU's O wish they've never been selected, just like every excellent D has done to overrated O's in the past.

That was Vince Young, the player of the decade going up against a bunch of true freshmen at LBer. I don't think how you can honestly say that SC defense was good.

Nebraska's defense happened to have been exposed by Colorado the game before, If I remember correctly, Colorado dropped 50+ on them.

Oklahoma's defense that year wasn't any good, but their offense was awesome, which is about as close to a comparison as I could find to this year's team. The end result was again, 55-16. Thanks for making my point.

So if Oklahoma rips UF's offense, you can just say UF starts no seniors? UF is young as hell, and hasn't faced a dynamic offense all season. Again, Alabama has a good O, but its not NEARLY as potent as OU. Who has UF faced offensively that compares to OU?

I thought FSU could give them a test, but a TSUNAMI rolled through and destroyed the field. Ole Miss didn't seem to have a problem, although early in the year.

I guess I don't understand your point.....

Same as above

Exactly,if you are going to pinpoint games and say the defense wasn't worth a shit then so be it. All teams have shitty defenses then.

what do you say about tOSU 2006 then?

Seeing as tOSU's defense was considered one of the best in the country and Florida ape-fucked us.

My point is in the following order:

55-16

41-14

31-24

21-14

13-2

The team that supposedly had the high powered offense, unfortunately for the sake of your argument, are all on the short end of the stick.

such a subjective argument though....

it'd be the same as me saying the sky is blue, and you arguing it's dark blue....

I'm still unsure what your argument is too....that OU cannot compete with UF??

No. My opinion is based on observations that have been very consistent.

Let me remind you that we had a "how to stop the Tech offense" thread a few weeks ago. Should I go ahead and start one for the OU offense?

Yea but a lot of people just ignored the fact that Michigan was able to move the ball so well against our D and that we hadn't played a lot of good offenses prior to that.

This year with all the offenses in the big 12 its hard to ignore how bad the defenses in the Big 12 are.

Florida will absolutely crush the Sooners in the title game because they are the complete football team and they can play defense. All these fans across the country that have been complaining about our performances in the title games will be praying that we show up at half time.

If you look at the previous title games its been the defenses that get the job done, the 01 Miami D took down Heisman winner Eric Crouch and Nebraska, the 02 OSU D took down the high powered Miami O, the 03 LSU D and 04 USC D took down the 2 great Oklahoma Offenses. 05 Texas had the ball moved against them but they held when they needed to hold (that 4th and 1) and put the ball in their offenses hand to win that game. The last 2 years in the title game its been the Florida/LSU D dominating us thats really been the difference in those games, our offense wasn't able to keep our defense off the field long enough and eventually we broke

I don't think its necessary...you can if you want. I think its a bit presumptious to assume OU will have zero success moving the ball on UF. How much do we know about UF's defense? You act as if it in inpenetrable. And OU's offense is completely overrated.

I'm hoping the voters bump USC as they did LSU last year because I think they would give Florida a better game. Oklahoma will get crushed by the Gators.

I wouldn't go betting the place you live that florida will rip oklahoma apart. You might be standing out on the street corners come jan..Nothing in college football is certain..Be sure to talk about mizz's terrible defense..Don't talk about okie is shutting them down. That would be giving a team credit.
