Florida 31, Alabama 20 (Final)

Speed kills and Florida's cup is overflowing. WVU was no slouch as far as speed/quickness and OU couldn't keep it close after the first half. Then again Florida's secondary hasn't been tested like OU will do. This actually might be an interesting matchup (hopefully).
Really? Speed kills? That's why Florida is good? Explain to me what was speedy about Florida in the game we saw today? Have you seen Tebow run? He is not fast. If you ignore Danielson shooting off his mouth about Florida speed and watch the damn game, FL won that game with good defense, a spread offense (news flash, just because you spread out a defense does not mean you have a fast team, it just means your guys are spread out along the line of scrimmage) and because Tebow plays smash mouth football and is hard as hell to bring to the ground.

Harvin...he's fast...but he was wearing sweatpants on the sideline...he was running zero miles per hour. Today, I was faster than Percy Harvin.

Distiling a complex game of football down to "speed" is shit that ESPN pulls...don't stoop that low...you're better than that.

Demps is a fast mother as well, but I agree with what you said. I really enjoy watching florida for that reason.

worst part of losing the SEC Championship game?

Getting the BCS buster.

It really does suck to have a great year like Bama', and then get stuck with Utah as a bowl game. Not. Much. Fun.

It does suck. There is very little to gain. If you smoke them it's because they didn't belong there. If you happen to play like shit on that day,and lose, then you're laughed at.

Georgia disagrees.

So they dropped in the polls, and they were not as good as thought. You could say the same thing about Ohio State. That really doesn't prove to be a huge advantage in playing a weaker bowl game. The consequences of losing that game in national eye is far worse, then winning as expected.

Well, actually it was velocity. Florida had great velocity.

Pissed me off that CBS kept pushing this as 1 vs 2.

What is it saying about the future of CFB; that what's good for CBS, now the proud owner of SEC rights, and NBC, stuck with the Irish, is good for ALL of CFB?

It will be fun to watch the stumbledicks from the Big 12 continue to try and explain why Oklahoma gets the nod over Texas and for the rest of the poll makers to explain why Florida moves past three other teams.

And while we're at it, did anyone else think that USC was playing to stay at home on New Years? Pete could have named a score against UCLA and ND, but took the air out of the ball and toyed with inferior teams in two games where a rout might have put the Trojans back into contention for the NC game

CBS is lucky I'm not within 50 miles of Gary Danielson, carrying a loaded weapon, right now. How could Tebow possibly complete a pass with Danielson sucking his dick from the press box?
This I understand, if not a bit overboard. Danielson's complete amazement at 10 yard passes (with DBs well beaten on the play) is too much.
Then, the cameras follow Tebow around on the sidelines whilst the Bible-thumping molester of Filipino children makes a fucking spectacle of himself..."Look at me trying to fire up the team that really shouldn't need any firing up!"
This is a mountain of trash on so many levels. :shake:

Holy conspiracy, batman.

In no world was USC going to be in NC contention. They were not going to leapfrog Texas, let alone either OU or the SEC champ.

Then there's the fact that USC's team, staff, fans and SoCal are sick of b10-usc matchups at home, especially since they have usually featured less than imposing opponents.

Georgia was awarded with their first preseason #1 poll in school history on the heels of trashing Hawaii.

and...It's not like they didn't have a talented team. Preseason polls are pretty much based on that aren't that? How much impact does that have right now? What if Georgia would have lost? Either way if GA was as good as once thought of they would have ran the table and played in the national title game. Most of the time everyone gets their own chance at doing that(other then a gang of undefeated teams)...
