apparently I get a few beers in me and give Rep to everyone...tried to give you greenies and was told I gave out too many in the last 24...thanks for being a classy fan. Agree with your comments. Good Game.Congratulations to your team tonight, they played very hard and really had a solid chance to win the game. I was very impressed with the improvements your team made over the past few months. This game really could have ended with either team on top, a few plays, calls, mistakes, etc. one way or the other and the result could have been flipped. The injuries that you guys suffered this game didn't help you either. But the heart that your team showed, and the desire in the game was all that you could ask for as a fan.
It was a great game, and I really like Tressel, and appreciate the respect that he gives the Texas program, and generally the way that he holds himself as opposed to a couple of other coaches yet to coach their bowl games this season. There have been 3 great games between these two huge universities and football programs in the last five years, and I have the a lot of respect for the Ohio State football team, and I think a lot of that stems from Tressel.
On the bright side for you guys is that Pryor just played in a HUGE game and showed so much brilliance for a true freshman, and the way you guys reload, I am sure that you will have some stout teams in the next couple of years.
Texas was lucky to leave the Fiesta Bowl with a victory tonight. Quan played out of his mind, and Colt battled through the best rush he has seen all year, to squeak out a victory where many pundits and Texas fans expected an easy cover and victory. I am sure it's not easy to take solace in a loss, or to claim a so-called moral victory, but if any team has that right this season, it is your Buckeyes tonight. Congrats on a solid, albeit disappointing season to some of you, and congrats for all of the great seniors that accomplished so much in their 4 years, yet have to leave with a record that is tarnished in the mind of some, and good luck for the 2009 season.

Let it go...the Ghost that haunted me was embarrassment. Nobody was embarrassed tonight (yesterday). National stage, top 10 team, and the Buckeyes showed up. They fought hard...and damn it they could have won, but I'll take more of these losses over any of the past two years. Losing sucks...getting embarrassed on a national stage is just brutal.I really don't have too much to say, I'll post some thoughts tommorrow after my hangover wears off.
The playing with heart? Yes that's gone, but if your referring to the "other" ghost, then no... no its not gone yet, at least, not for many of us.
Fine game though, hats off to Texas. Just don't let me run into anybody with a burnt orange jersey on for the next couple days....
As always...
How about we meet up next year for the NC?Great game Buckeye fans. That was truly a classic and I can honestly say that was the toughest game we have had this season. I know a lot of people around the country are already beating Texas up and calling us overrated because somehow beating Ohio State isn't a quality win anymore but they are ignorant. I saw two teams leave it all out on the field tonight and I don't care what their record is, this Ohio State team is a great team. As for Pryor...he impressed the hell out of me. I admit I scoffed when I heard the Vince comparisons and I event went as far as to say that the only reason he was a 5 star instead of a high 4 star was because Vince young existed. But was I was wrong...he was a true freshman and he looked like a man out there. He made some bad throws but every true freshman does. At this point I would say he is ahead of Vince at this stage in their careers. Ohio State's future looks bright.
I also want to give kudos to Buckeyeplanet. Of the three Ohio State forums I visit this is the only one where the majority of the posts remained classy after the game and there were no sour grapes. It's always fun when these two hook up and I hope we can do it again someday (hopefully after Pryor leaves).

Our team was so lost and out of shape. They wanted no part of it. I don't know how the Texas o-line, all their players as a matter of fact, got together and back to the line for the next play so quickly.
Wish the Bucks would have taken a timeout as they were getting gutted.
