COLUMBUS, Ohio - A new synthetic playing surface (Field Turf) currently is being installed at Ohio Stadium. The old grass field was removed shortly after the 2007 Spring Game and donated to Columbus City Parks.
The process of laying out the new surface began the weekend of May 5-6. Numbers, lettering and hash marks are being stitched into the turf this week.
Upon completion, the new playing field will feature scarlet endzones with white lettering and a scarlet Block "O" at midfield.

everyone by now knows our colors are red black & whitejwinslow;841891; said:Nice gallery, 73. I'm still curious why the endzone is still two tone... I'm sure they'll remedy the situation, but it is peculiar for now.No gray?
Jeffcat;841907; said:well if they use the gray outlined white lettering posted on page 37 then i think it will look awesome but if not then yea it kinda lacks.
MililaniBuckeye;841919; said:True, but our school colors are scarlet and gray, not scarlet and white...if they wanted to use white and gray as primary and trim colors for the lettering then it should be gray lettering with white trim. If they want to use just one color for the lettering then it should be gray...all they need to do is look at the photos of the Fiesta Bowl end zone to see how great that is.
