Field conditions at Ohio Stadium

It was my impression from C Deck that the rubber seemed to gather in areas where there was very heavy straight line traffic from the band. There were several stripes where a couple hundred band members had been marching in a line.

I don't look at it as complaining. I look at it as just stating factual observations. You pay for a new field; you should get something that looks likes a new field. If in fact the pellets have to "settle in"; why can't they run some type of vibrator over the field to "effect the process"?

I thought the same thing on Saturday. Maybe not a "vibrator" but couldn't they bring some big cement rollers in and see what they would do or let the band use it as their practice field for a while.

The field turf still looks weird (especially in HD) in Ohio Stadium. I was watching the Colts play in their new stadium last night and their field turf looks great.

The field looks like it was pieced together weird or something.

Still looks like they're going a little heavy on the rubber pellets to me.

Installation of artificial turf, designed by the FieldTurf firm, began Wednesday at the Gophers' TCF Bank Stadium. Minnesota's is among seven Big Ten Conference stadiums using FieldTurf. Installation will take four weeks.
