Haha! Well, he's going to fucking bowl game dickhead.

Um, he's starting as a freshman(and playing well) for the best team in the conference. scUM fans are really spinning the crap out of this game. Way moreso than past years. Things are incredibly desperate there.

As good as Boren is at FB, he prefers D. Look for him to move back to either LB of DE next year.

Found this quote in the Carlos Hyde thread. This would be surprising to me as I think it could cost him playing time. He doesn't seem to have the build of a DE and the Bucks are stacked at LB.

Zach is an integral part of the offense and offensive plans now. No way he moves! It could be argued that he is as good at FB as any in the Big Ten. The younger Homan may be more gifted,(I thought he would claim the starting job) but Zach gets everything from his abilities and is just a solid football player. And he'll only get better! A possible 4 year starter at fullback? That could be very important for the offense as a whole.
We are going to see a very good run game from here on out. And that will set up the pass game(and TP) for success.

I wonder where that leaves young Homan? Will he spend his whole career as a backup FB or can he move to the other side of the ball?

Did you catch Zach standing on the Buckeye sideline late in the game and giving the Michigan bench the O - H - I - O sign? I loved it. Obviously both brothers had been catching a ration of trash talk from the UM players. Glad to have both of the Borens in S & G.

Homan will play because the fullback takes a beating. Just like the running back position. Before it's all said and done we'll be very happy we have both.

Is it possible that Justin ended up hating Michigan? If he is unhappy there, maybe he is telling Zach not to come join him. Or maybe he wants him to win games  Just speculating.

Here's another interesting blast from the past... Obviously credit RB07OSU on this one.

Also wondering what your picks are for the next powerball... Mili need not respond. :)

But do agree with Mili, he's becoming a favorite of mine to watch as well.

Watch replays of the Penn State and Iowa games today. Just gotta say that Zach has really turned out to be quite a Fullback and if he continues to improve throughout his career like he has this season, he's going to go down as one special player and one of the all time greats at Fullback.

Ohio State football: Zach Boren didn't let injury hurt his chances
Wednesday, April 7, 2010
By Tim May
THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

The physical agony that comes with a major knee injury is only part of the pain for a motivated athlete. There is also the anguish, Zach Boren said, of having to sit and watch others compete while the knee mends.

The right knee blowout Boren suffered in Pickerington Central's Division I state semifinal loss to Cincinnati Elder in late November 2008 did more than sideline him for months. He had big football-related plans. He graduated early and enrolled at Ohio State in January 2009.

His desire had been to get a head start on his college football career and maybe to show he belonged, that he wasn't just the younger brother of celebrated transfer-from-Michigan offensive lineman Justin Boren tagging along with a full ride.

"I definitely heard that, but I didn't let it bother me, because I knew if I did it would have affected my performance," Zach Boren said. "I let it come in one ear and go out the other. I did use it for a little motivation, but I was just excited to come to Ohio State, whether I got a scholarship because I was Justin Boren's brother or because of my talent."
