Bob Newhart

His 1960 comedy album, The Button Down Mind of Bob Newhart, went straight to number one on the charts, beating Elvis Presley and the cast album of The Sound of Music. Button Down Mind received the 1961 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Newhart also won Best New Artist, and his quickly-released follow-on album, The Button-Down Mind Strikes Back, won Best Comedy Performance - Spoken Word that same year.

There are some really good comedy duos out there too--my favorites are Slovin and Allen:

And I always loved the Sklar Brothers set where they go on about Chopper 4 and end with the air guitar jam to REO Speedwagon:

Slovin and Allen are funny. I like that one they do where they are at a seminar or meeting and it's them sitting down. LOL

Most comics that are guests on the Bob and Tom show. Jim Gaffigan was on today talking about bacon, Louis C.K. was on as well (Gaffigan's probably my favorite BTW). Overall funny show with the characters they create/mimic...Donnie Baker, Bill Clinton, Larry King, Dr. Phil.

They had Drew Hastings on yesterday morning. He's a loon. Another Bob and Tom regular that I really like is Mike Armstrong. His stories from being a Kentucky state trooper are hilarious.

David Cross.

One reason to watch any of NBC's sitcoms is because Cross, Odenkirk, and other former cast members from Mister Show with Bob & David could show up at any time. These guys singlehandedly got shows like Just Shoot Me and Newsradio two extra seasons apiece.
