I'm on the final quest.. saved before I started it so I could enjoy the size of the map. I've found that if you don't force yourself out of the major cities, then you'll never see 80% of the map. I expected that I'd need to go to the northern half of the map at some point, but apparently not.

That's not a complaint.

Anyone meet Fawkes yet?

I just bought this game yesterday. I have no idea what I am doing. The maps are kind of confusing. I did not blow up megaton. I just got past the radio place and am on my way to the museum or something. Im having a hell of a time trying to get there. Also I have no ammo. Who do I sell the junk I carry around too?

If you didn't blow up Megaton, look for Moira Brown in Craterside Supply. You'll also come across various other traders in other towns as you go. You should do the quest "The Power of the Atom." You'll get a house either way where you can store stuff you don't readily need. Check out my FAQ/Walkthrough on Gamefaqs.

The map isn't that bad, make use of your Local Map and World Map. If you're on a quest, and its set to active, it will normally provide a route for you to take to get to your target location.

Basically just go to any town and go to general stores, armories, etc. Think of this game like an FPS crossed with a straight up RPG. And if you never played the first 2 and have a computer, I highly recommend.

So my character is "pure evil" now, but staying that way is friggin hard, you get way too much good karma for quests.
Its not that hard, sometimes you just have to be really evil and don't realize there can be other options. The main quest is kind of impossible to do evil. You can give rude responses to people, or refuse to do things their way, you usually don't get much good Karma for the main quests though.

The Optional quests are where the big, bad Karma is. You can do almost each of these in an evil way. If you're looking for more bad Karma, kill some good people out in the wastes, or steal a lot of stuff when people aren't looking. Some quest spoilers are below for negative Karma solutions:

Tenpenny Tower: Kill the ghouls. You'd think killing ghouls would be positive Karma in most cases, this quest is all backwards anyway though, your actions sometimes have unintentional results
The Oasis: Burn Harold alive. You'll have to kill the Treeminders too, oh well.
Power of the Atom: Blow up Megaton, easy one here and most people know about it.
Head of State: Don't help the escaped slaves at all, help the slavers at the Lincoln Memorial capture them.
Strictly Business: Enslave everyone on the list, then enslave a child...thats about as evil as it gets.
Replicated Man: Sell out the android to the doctor, of course you miss out on his sweet Plasma Rifle.

Tennpenny Tower, I actually let the ghouls in and they killed everyone, that took me to "reaver" and got a bounty on my head.

Yeah, who wouldn't blow up Megaton? The penthouse is so much nicer, plus you get almost enough caps to get the infirmary.

Yeah, I became a slaver, it's just easier. You know the kid that wants you to help his town that was overrun with ants? I enslaved him, pissed off the GNR radio guy something fierce

Haven't done replicated man yet, I am actually trying to be evil this time through.

On a side note, I found the alien blaster today, that was pretty awesome, makes dealing with those robots in the nuka-cola factory much easier.

Good deal on the ghouls =) First time I did that one I tried to be all nice and find common ground for both parties so they could live together...yeah, that didn't last long. Ghouls slaughtered everyone the day after I left. On my 2nd play through I slaughtered them in the sewers for the bad Karma. The only reason I like the Megaton house is because it's centered in the Capital Wasteland, doesn't take as long to travel to. Not that time is a big factor in the game, but it annoys me to blow half a day in travel just to drop off junk, and I make frequent trips home to stockpile junk to trade later.

You enslaved the Brian Wilks kid? Thats pretty damn evil! I hadn't even thought of that. If it's alright I'd like to add that to my FAQ and give you credit, send me a PM if you don't want your name listed for credit.

I'm currently finishing up the Reilly's Rangers quest for a 2nd time, attempting to do it from an evil perspective, but I'm not sure if it's possible for that one. Once thats finished I'll have all the Optional Quests complete, I'll only have to add the rest of the Freeform Quests and some equipment to finish out the guide.

The guide is here, don't think I posted it before:

Well then, shouldn't you get credit for completing that quest? I mean, technically, you did find a place for the kid to live.

I just ran across a couple of slavers/slaves out by the Mirelurk den. I didn't know what to do, so I told the slave I'd try to take off the collar... then her head exploded  I had to take out the two slavers after that.

Also, I was wandering around a town when suddenly a group of guys appeared out of nowhere. It's the bounty hunters coming after my ass. That was an unexpected battle. This game is awesome.

Yeah, if you are too evil or too good you get bounty hunters after you. It's been good, I have a steady supply of assault rifles and laser rifles to use for repairs :)

Last night I rolled through big town and executed everyone, tonight I think I am going to see if I can kill everyone in Rivet City since Dr. Li is at the Citadel and I have my power armor
