Picking locks is not that hard. If you thought this was bad, Oblivion was 10x harder. More often than not, you either have to have your bobbypin in a vertical position, or in a 45 degree diagonal position pointing up to the left or right.
I beat the game yesterday morning, and I've done a good portion of side quests as well. I've reloaded and started going back through hitting all the little things before I do the final mission again. I've got probably 80+ hours into the thing already after having the game a week. It just happened that I asked for the week off...been waiting for this sequel for 10 years.
This morning I created a new game save, I played through the first time as a good girl, hoping to sleep my way to the top of the wasteland. Not a lot of options to do that, so in my 2nd game play I'm playing an evil guy...looking forward to blowing Megaton this time through. I waxed pretty much everyone in the Vault on my way out except Amata.
I'm currently writing up a FAQ for Gamefaqs for this, I also wrote the FAQs for the Thieves Guild and Mage's Guild in Oblivion. Fallout 3 is just an awesome game, so open ended like its predecssors and well done. Definitly worth it, you get your money's worth here.
