Kindof on topic, I'm looking to get either Fallout 3 or Fable 2. I've seen a few of you have played both, which would you recommend? If both are good I might end up getting both. I've seen good reviews for both on gamespot.com

Both are great games, IMO. However, I think that Fallout 3 is better for a few reasons. It is far more "open world" than Fable 2, the graphics are superior, and the overall story and game play is better in FO3.

Both games will take some time to invest in, but I think the main stories in each game take about 10-13 hours to beat.

Fallout 3, if you have the PC or X-Box version, additional content will be released later according to Bethesda. I've heard they may or may not release the same content for PS3. Either way, if you have the base game, Fallout 3 is still awesome. I don't have Fable 2 myself, but I have friends that play both, 2 of them have dropped Fable 2 for the time being to play Fallout. Its just an open game, nothing is really linear about it. You can do whatever you want, when you want. Your actions, good and bad, affect communities in different ways. The death scenes are beautiful.

So did anybody buy the Collector's Edition lunchbox version? I saw it in the case at Meijer last night and said, "oooohhhh I have to have that!"

Now I see that in addition to the lunchbox, you get a Vault Boy bobblehead. Must own.

I would have bought it, but my game shelf is too full for stuff like that. :tongue2:

I got the Collector's edition, I'm an old skool Fallout fan though. The bobble head is funny, has a good presense on the mantle. Haven't started taking my lunches to work in the lunchbox yet lol. There's also a book with some cool artwork (Haven't looked at it all yet), and I think a DVD, but I've honestly been too busy playing the game!

I saw the Pip-Boy clock, it was kinda neat, but I thought I had to preorder via Amazon to get it. I didn't want to wait for shipping or anything, so I just pre-ordered via Gamestop so I could get it at midnight.

I'm having trouble keeping ammo, because I do not have a lot of caps.

I'm trying to kill those fire ants in the nest and I keep running out of fucking ammo. Argh.

I had a lot of mines stockpiled at that time. They're the most effective way of taking care of ants, especially the soldiers.

It's nearly impossible to get a bunch of caps in this game. I end up spending all my caps on ammo because I rarely find ammo for my shotguns and assault rifles, or stimpaks. And stimpaks are expensive..

Then there are repairs..

Haha, I managed to have 30 of them, somehow.

Actually, I remember how. If you want to know where I got them, scroll down. If not, don't scroll down.

I did the quest for the Survival Guide in Megaton (Moira Brown), and there's a quest that results in you having the ability to disarm/pick up a ridiculous amount of mines.
