ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

What did I miss?
Anytime he speaks. I remember him on the show during the playoff selections running his mouth while the other folks on there tried to correct him because he didn't understand how the committee worked. Then just a few days ago I'm watching the preview show and he's trying to say Brax can't handle the added impact of playing WR. The dude was a scrambling QB, he can take the hits.

Maybe it's just me but it seems he's pulling a Herbie and laying into the Buckeyes extra to not come across as a homer or something. And his knowledge of the game and QB position is subpar for a guy who played pro ball. It seems like the CFB daily crew is always having to correct this guy.

If Galloway has a flaw as a broadcaster, it is that he needs to tone-down the trash talking diva act from his playing days and behave a bit more professionally towards his on air partners, because the condescension undermines his credibility. Take the Braxton training session where he was ripping Danny Kanell as an example. It's sometimes funny, but damn Joey, we get it, your NFL career was more decorated than Danny's. You're over 40 now. Put a cork in it.

He'd do well to take a cue from CC and Keyshawn from the NFL set. Those are two HOF players that (literally) wrote books on being divas. They're not rubbing it in everyones' face every five minutes when they're behind the desk.

I really only listened to his broadcasts w/Mowins... and didn't get the diva vibe in those? Maybe he just doesn't like Kanell? Or maybe he's just trying to develop his media persona?
He hasn't been a good broadcaster imo - I'd like to blame Mowins (god she's horrible), but he didn't add anything himself either. Wooden? Forgettable?
Nothing like Spielman - it's like he's teaching the game as he covers it. Probably doesn't hurt that he's a homer either.

With all that in mind, I thought the clip w/Braxton was good. I learned some things, and he at least had a personality (unlike the broadcasts he's done w/Mowins).

The first joke was funny, then he did it at least 3 more times. I had the same impression as you. It is funny to joke around a bit but then you have to get serious.

I think he said something like, "you remember how to take a snap". I giggled. Then it went overboard quickly
