I don't like ESPN either, but Holly Rowe had a right to the first interview after the game. The company that broadcasts the game usually has something in their contract that says 'we will have the first option to interview the coaches after the game'. They buy that right when they buy the rights to the game.

They also have special interview sessions with the players/coaches during the week before the game. When Chris Collinsworth says 'we sat down with Tom Coughlin and asked him what Eli Manning was like...blah blah...' he is talking about those interviews.

This agreement helps make the tv broadcasts better.

Does it also say in the contract that physical force is allowed if another person tries to get the interview?

As much as I hate ESPN, the dumb bitch that tried to get the first interview either knew better and simply didnt give a shit, or didn't know better and deserved a shove for not knowing. And it's not like Rowe actually grabbed or hit the bitch.
