ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Yep. My dad is one of those people. It is very hard to discuss sports with him since all of his info comes from that joke of a network.

Same. Mine still isn't sold on Urban Meyer yet... He has no idea what kind of recruits he's already pulled, let alone the one's that have shown interest in such a short amount of time.

He thinks Urban shafted UF (coming from a person who hates UF with a passion) ... I tell him there's some underlying stories behind him leaving UF that isn't only pertaining to his health and well-being.

a lot of the UF fans I've talked to didn't even know he's from Ohio!

I think it would be FOX more so than NBC.

Because with FOX, you already have the tie-in with the Big Ten Championship game and FOX already owns part of BTN.

Regardless, I can only imagine ESPN's response if/when the Big Ten signs its next deal elsewhere.
I don't know why I didn't think of that, but yes Fox is making a push as well. I don't care if it's the damned Food Network as long as someone makes them play it straight.

Funny you say that... I turn on my TV just before the MLS Superdraft which is on ESPN2. ESPN is the first channel I fall on, they are playing the Tebow's Fire song that's been making it's rounds on Youtube. :shake:

Flip to ESPN2 and First Take and Woody Paige and his fellow nitwits are discussing whether Tim Tebow had divine intervention on his side...

2 channels, simultaneously talking about ONE player. You know, it'd be one thing to talk about the Broncos (considering they are STILL in the playoffs), but no... They ONLY talk about Tim Tebow and how he's so inspirational.

Makes me fucking sick. I've never seen ESPN nuthug someone as hard as Tim Tebow... Yes, that includes Tiger Woods AND Brett Favre.

...and then they wonder out loud why much of the nation loathes Tebow. I know it isn't Tebow's doing, it's simple oversaturation. It's a simple concept. BTW, anybody that thinks the national coverage is bad should try living in Colorado the past three months. :bonk:

Exactly. I'm sure Broncos fans love it, but if I'm a fan of Denver, I'm furious at the lack of coverage of the team. They RARELY talk about them, only Tebow.

I can't wait to see if/when NBC Sports Network takes off. Then again, Notre Dame is one Tim Tebow player away from them spiraling out of control.

It is the same thing that happened with Tiger. Everywhere you turned it was Tiger, Tiger, Tiger and it was all media driven. Not that Tiger's play was not deserving of the accolades. I personally got to the point that I couldn't stand Tiger during his heydays, because he got coverage even when he wasn't playing in a tournament.
