ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Don't worry. ESPN will eventually be destroyed by all of the professional leagues and college conferences starting their own networks, thereby cutting out the middleman. ESPN will be stuck with World Series of Poker and Australian rules football.

Right back where they started from.

How fitting.

Absolutely. The NFL Network, NBA TV, and MLB Network already exist. Most MLB games are played on a Fox or regional network anyway. The question is will these networks have enough capital and resources to lock up exclusive rights for their brand?

I'd like to know what Dan Patrick's opinion of ESPN is, and Rich Eisen's for that matter.

Listen to his interview with Bruce Feldman. It's pretty clear what his opinion is.

e!spn will ultimately be responsible for the destruction of amateur athletics. All of this conference bull[Mark May] is further ruining my interest in what was once my favorite sport by far. It's [Mark May]. Destroying the best parts of cfb for the $$$.

Exactly. And that's why ESPN is acting the way the are. They see the writing on the wall. And the B1G is leading the way...

I just listened to the Bruce Feldman interview. I enjoyed the comments by Patrick about it will probably get worse before it gets better. He told him to dig in and fight "The Mothership"! LOL!!! [censored] ESPiN!

DP pretty much always calls ESPN "The Mother Ship." He doesn't give them the free advertising of having their name on his lips.

It's not difficult to glean the contempt he has for ESPN from the parsed words he uses. He's a savvy guy, and a gem that they should have held onto with both hands, but like idiots they not only let him go, they pushed him away.

I wonder if they will start showing the world's strongest man competition again. Now that is some priceless entertainment.
