ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Anyone listen to the half time of the Nebraska Wisconsin game. They said in one sentence that the close game with Minny (7-2 going in) might not be enough to impress the committee. Then in the next sentence informs us that Kansas (3-6 going in) is a tough team to beat and shouldn't hurt TCU, especially because IT's SO COLD IN KANSAS!

It's E$$$ECPN what do you expect? Certainly not logic or anything akin to rational arguments.

And it might even be plausible if it wasn't wrote by their Big10 blog.
Or if it weren't the 100th time. I remember last year they wrote an entire article about how the 'soft underbelly' of both Sparty and Ohio State were exposed 1 week prior to CCG.
While I'm sure we all remember our game coming down to that 2pt conversion, Sparty's game (Corn) wasn't even close. Meanwhile totally different spin job on Auburn's improbable luck.
Again, wrote by their guy assigned specifically to Ohio State in a period when every show on the network was lobbying to jump us b/c we hadn't played anyone and blatantly trying to devalue MSU beforehand.

Giant bureaucracies like ESPN have too many layers to effectively institutionalize any one specific line of sports-related thinking, and while they certainly have business interests and conventional wisdoms that they're beholden to, that Florida State, Ohio State, Baylor/TCU, and numerous other fan bases alike all carry "ESPN hates us" torches pretty much says it all.
And this is where his argument falls apart completely.
Not only is it specious logic, but he omits that all those fan bases actually agree that ESPN has a heavy SEC bias.
