They basically have 1st tier rights to everyone. That means that to maximize profit on those games they need one good game every week in every conference. They achieve that by having one or two top 15 teams in each conference.So what about their claim that they televise B1G games via ABC (and ESPN and ESPN2) so they want the B1G to be good? I fully believe that their objective is to maximize Disney's profits- what is their strategy to accomplish this?
