ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

I'm a huge Sparty fan right now. I hope they absolutely plunger hoke Stanford.

Same. I'm a huge B1G fan right now, period. Even... yeah, I won't say it. I just hope we have an awesome showing when we go bowling. That's all I can say. We need that now more than anything. We have bigger things at stake right now. We all know what the perception is, so we all need the conference to blow the doors off of everything right now.

Someone snapped a picture of Reece Davis when Sparty scored the clinching TD, sending Auburn to the NC game.

The thing I don't get is that their business model basically attempts to piss off one fan base or another, presumably with the thought that it will drive ratings. And maybe it does. But I know for me, personally, I used to have Sports Center on damn near 24/7, or one of their other programs. Now, the only time I watch ESPN is when there is a game in which I have some interest. I suspect I'm not alone in shying away from them. It really begs the question, does this approach REALLY increase viewership over actually behaving as a responsible purveyor of sporting news? [Mark May], we have one of the largest, if not the largest, fan bases in the country.
Well, I put all ND games on the DVR and watch them only if I know the Irish lose. I hold on to them to re-watch if the Irish get blown out. Same for the Dallas Cowboys.

My point being is that some times perverse thinking works. In the case of ESPN, some Buckeye fans will watch just to get their anger quotient filled and all the SEC fans will watch to get their pet theories supported.

My bitch with ESPN is all the time devoted to the NBA and NFL at the expense of the college games.

Damn, wouldn't that frost some bippies up in Ann Arbor - "But he's a Michigan man… "
It's idiotic because Harbaugh has become a NorCal guy and has said that the Niners job is his dream job. Yes, Texas can throw a boat load of money at him, but you can bet SF would exceed it. He ain't leaving the NFL. Just more e!spn/herbie sensationalism.
