ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

True, but I used to have a morning routine that included waking up, drinking my coffee, watching sportscenter as I "woke up" every day. It was back in the days when Kenny Mayne was funny (or I thought so, anyway) Olbermann and Patrick were - again in my opinion - a great tandum, and even Rich Eisen and Stuart Scott has strong moments... I digress... I still get up earlier than I have to, to drink my coffee and "wake up" But, I don't put sportscenter on anymore. It's not because I've grown out of my interest in sports, I can tell you that.
I had the same routine. Add Craig Kilborn to the group as he was the funniest to me. But again, I suspect that we all stop watching that junk as we get older. I suspect it has less to do with their entertainment "value" and more to do with us getting older.

We need to threaten it more. We need to move to FOX, give FSN a big boost and (by joining the PAC over there) create a FOX college football stronghold stretching in an unbroken line from New York to Los Angeles--54% of the US population (if one counts NY). Not to mention immediately making FSN a player in college basketball.

I'd like to believe this is the answer. I just have a tougher time seeing it since the launching of a dogshit channel named FS1, and Delaney's willingness to ride bitch on anything involving the future of the playoff.

I don't think the FS1 is necessarily dog shit. It's just new and needs some time to come together. FOX has NFL and MLB to leverage. They already have the PAC for college, and if you add the BIG to that, it automatically becomes a hell of a counterweight to espn/abc. As for their B12 ties, I think they'd be happy to jettison those in a heartbeat for the Big Ten. They can't be none too happy about UT's mixed loyalties given the LHN. I say we go all in on FOX and tell espn to fuck off once and for all.

I'll believe it when I see it. Will they fire Clay Travis during this deal? How about Couch?

Edit: Let me say that I would hope once BIG money is involved, they would defend the BIG as much as secpn tries to slam the BIG. I have seen just as much pimping of the SEC, BIG 12, and the PAC on Fox as much as I have on secpn. Can Delany create the kind of contract that will hold Fox to a higher standard or will "bashing for clicks" still be an overused practice?

I think it's safe to make two aassumptions about FOX corp: they have no problem promoting an agenda and they're willing to lose money up front (fox news lost over a hundred million before sseeing a penny in the black) to build a network for the long haul

Tried to watch some of Gameday this morning while BTN was still on reruns, seeing as how they did go to Indy. Couldn't stomach it. ESPiN should have just followed its heart(?) and gone to the ACC or SEC game.

Watching them felt kinda like accepting a dinner date with someone who then proceeds to spend the entire night talking about his ex.

(Oh, Herbie...I'm so over you.)

I don't remember if they went to the SEC game a few years ago when we ended up with the rematch between Alabama and LSwho, but in the past they've usually not gone to the SEC title game because it's on SEEBS. I'm kind of surprised they are in Indy today since it is on Fox. Back when USC was good, they would be out on the West Coast or in Big East territory when WVU was decent. They aren't going to waste their A crew on an ACC game that will have 15,000 empty seats.

Maybe with the game in Charlotte Dook fans will show up in droves, but FSU fans aren't known for traveling all that well.

Actually, I kind of doubt it. Football is such a lower tier interest for the Dook fans that I doubt it will be all that represented. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised that the game isn't even close to sold out.

I was being semi-sarcastic.

Back in the day, there were a lot of UNC and DOOK basketball fans who are also FSU fans. the only way this game sells out is if those fans still exist in the area. My guess is they don't.
