It's pretty easy to make the mistake with the Belmont, when your company is based on buzzwords (LeBron, Tebow, Ohio State, Lakers, Yankees, etc.) and what's trending.

You have those buzzwords stuck in your head 24/7.

I think the world would explode if there was a story with all of those in it.

Simmons Suspended

Bill Simmons suspended, according to Deadspin, for his "First Take" comments.

ESPN won't comment on story, similar to how ESPN wouldn't comment on Bruce Feldman's suspension (they said he was never suspended).

We see what ESPN has morphed into and who they're protecting (i.e. First Take and that whole genre).

I just wish more people would call out ESPN (including current ESPN employees).

Good for Simmons. I wish he could extricate himself from that evil empire.

As this SEC Network is ESPN-backed (51/49 or whatever the pct.), similar to FOX with BTN, I think it pushes the Big Ten further and further to FOX with its next contract.

The only way the Big Ten stays with ESPN, since the network is clearly in bed with the SEC, is if ESPN overpays by a huge amount.
