ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Cowherd earlier this week said Indiana would be the only Big 10 team to make it to the sweet 16.

Cowherd is also a troll (like Mark May, Bayless, Smith, etc.). So I'm positive he'd probably say anything to generate reaction.

You should read some of Richard Deitsch's (of SI) criticisms of Cowherd and his uniformed viewpoints.

This is ESPN these days. They're so far gone, there's no turning back.

Cowherd at least admits he's a troll.

he regularly says "my job is to get ratings and reactions"

I think it's funny when people are surprised or get upset about this. The job of every media outlet to get ratings/subscriptions because that equals money which keeps the people that work there employed.

Princeton prof: ESPN to blame for increasingly partisan elections:

The culprit turns out to be not Fox News, but ESPN, HBO, and other early cable channels that lured moderates away from the news--and away from the polls. Polarization without persuasion--through technology-induced compositional change of the voting public and elite-induced clarification of electoral choices--is sufficient to explain why elections have become more partisan and moderates have all but disappeared in Congress.

I happened to hear Cowherd this morning. I was listening because I wanted to hear Gronkowski. Anyway, Cowherd is asking him about the "off field" stuff and Gronkowski (who is a total meathead) says "how come all you guys want to talk about is off the field stuff? Nobody asks me about football."

Anyway, long story short, at the end of the interview (and I swear this is what he said) Cowherd says "so, hey, you're not mad at me because I have to ask about the off field stuff, right? I mean, we're still good, right?"

What a fucking baby! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. This guy is a complete and total jock sniffing tool. He was audibly upset because he thought Gronk was going to be mad at him for asking him questions he didn't like. I wish I could get audio on that because you have to hear the tone of Cowherd's voice. Incredible.

Rick Reilly earning his paycheck today. :roll1:

Just asked the following questions at the OSU press conference to Aaron Craft and Deshaun Thomas:

1) And I paraphrase, "Aaron why do you think so many people consider you annoying"?

2) "Deshaun, does Aaron do anything you consider annoying"?

3) "Aaron, do you ever check out Twitter or chat rooms about what people are saying about you?"

4) Just asked Thad Matta, "How was Sean Miller as a roommate"?

What a fucking asshat.

Was wearing cuffed skinny jeans, a too-tight dress shirt, and a vest while doing his "work" today. Awesome.

McShay torching that NC State CB as his family celebrated his selection in the background was pathetic.

Trey Wingo pestering Tyrann Mattheiu during his interview about his past like an overbearing parent was downright ignorant.

The "worldwide leader" gets worse with draft coverage every year. A bunch of bickering, yelling and very little coverage/analysis on actual picks after round one. I feel dumber for having watched even a couple of hours of that.

Dan Patrick had a story of an ex-ESPN talent going to him, after the talent was fired, asking Patrick why he was fired. Dan said it was because he didn't stand out to management.

This creates people yelling and shouting and saying "trolling" comments to try to stand out, if you have that kind of atmosphere.

And McShay got four picks correct out of 32 (according to Awful Announcing). Mike Mayock got seven (to lead all mock drafts).
