ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Reilly wrote a big piece at the beginning of the season about ND's irrelevance and such. He's been making an ass out of himself since then, including the Twitter incident with Rapistberger. Heres another foot in mouth. Kap replied from the USC locker room after the game:

And ESPiN gave him a five-year, $17 million contract (not that I would fault Reilly for taking it).

So ESPiN look dumber than Reilly, since he's basically faded into irrelevancy.

Usually he's just polishing SEC helmets.....this time around it'll just be a different flavor of dome.

Today, ESPN stated (with a matching graphic) that TSUN had defeated tOSU on four occasions when tOSU came into The Game with a perfect record. They listed 1969, 1973, 1995, and 1996.

Until today, I never realized that tOSU lost that 10-10 tie in 1973.

Also, they just listed Charlie Ward as the 1992 Heisman Trophy winner, once again with a matching graphic. He actually won it in FSU's 1993 National Championship year.

How difficult is it to check facts like that before placing graphics on the screen?

Not to defend Espin, but when I saw the statistic earlier in the week, it was 4 times that Michigan has spoiled a perfect season - not 4 times they had defeated the Buckeyes. Probably had some graphic guy or producer change the wording and not realize the wording change made it inaccurate. Which would make sense because 1993 was excluded from the list. (Ok, I'm going to go punch a wall now to let out all of these Cooper memories)

As soon as I saw that, I pointed out the error to a couple of friends of mine sitting with me at the sports bar we were at...one was a Michgan fan (girlfriend of the OSU grad with me). She was stunned I would remember that the 1973 game was a 10-10 tie. I then rattled off the scores of every Game since 2001 and she was speechless.

we were undefeated in 1993 (one tie) and they smoked us 28-0.

TSUN ruined a perfect season in '73. they ruined an undefeated season in '93.

@NDFBEquipment, has Rick left the Gug yet? I want to come back and hang out. Would rather not run into him and act excited to see him.

The whole thing is just another publicity stunt for him, but I loved the comment from John Goodman

Maybe so, but this jackass doesn't usually lift anything heavier than a glass of Speyside single malt. At least he followed through.
