ESPN (A bunch of Death-Spiraling maroons)

Today, ESPN stated (with a matching graphic) that TSUN had defeated tOSU on four occasions when tOSU came into The Game with a perfect record. They listed 1969, 1973, 1995, and 1996.

Until today, I never realized that tOSU lost that 10-10 tie in 1973.

Also, they just listed Charlie Ward as the 1992 Heisman Trophy winner, once again with a matching graphic. He actually won it in FSU's 1993 National Championship year.

How difficult is it to check facts like that before placing graphics on the screen?

As soon as I saw that, I pointed out the error to a couple of friends of mine sitting with me at the sports bar we were at...one was a Michgan fan (girlfriend of the OSU grad with me). She was stunned I would remember that the 1973 game was a 10-10 tie. I then rattled off the scores of every Game since 2001 and she was speechless.

Pollack on Gameday just said that if undefeated Ohio State took the bowl ban last year, they'd still be #3 or worse in the BCS behind a 1 loss team this year because of their ugly wins :shake:
Ugly wins. Georgia beat Tennessee by 7, Kentucky by 5, and got jailsexed by South Carolina. Alabama is a perfect storm screen call away from being THE BEST 2-LOSS TEAM EVER.

Chris Fowler just said, "As an AP voter, Ohio State doesn't look like a national championship team."

Another douche.

Don't you just love it that ESPN "personalities" (analysts is a stretch) are now injecting their opinions into games?

So those who avoid all non-games from ESPN -- like many Big Ten fans -- still have to hear their opinions, if they watch games.

Never forget, both Chris Fowler and Herbstreit dropped Ohio State five spots after winning the Sugar Bowl.

Herbstreit blamed being "sleepy" for his move. Fowler got berated by Buckeye fans via Twitter.

Only school that won that the two dropped in their final AP poll (that year).

SEC schedule was weak for most of them in the non league... maybe weaker than ours... Bammer SEC'd up their schedule with Western Kentucky (actually decent), Florida Atlantic, and Western Carolina.

Georgia went with Georgia Southern, Buffalo, and Florida Atlantic
