Question about the HC Job

Through these tough times know that SC walks the same dark road and many of us wish you the best. I was wondering what's going on with your coaching situation? Are you guys in search for a headcoach or have you already settled in for this new guy? (sorry i don't know his name off the top of my head) What's his resume? Are you guys happy with the HC you have now?

Our assistant coach Luke Fickell is the interim HC for the 2011 season. I assume that retaining him will be based upon his performance this season and whether we get slammed with scholarship-reduction and/or bowl bans and forfeitures in the near future.

I think the biggest concern should be his ability to recruit. It's hard for me to call Kiffin a good HC given his track record but his ability to recruit is our only chance of making it through these sanctions. It's hard to imagine you guys coming out of this without penalties but you will always have a bigger pool of talent to pick from then anyone in your confrence and like us the biggest concern is margin for error. On paper you want to say Nebraska is your guys biggest competition the next few years but they're not built for smash mouth football and their QB doesn't scare anyone with his arm. In short you guys will be fine no matter the outcome.:osu:

Fickell has generally been regarded as the best recruiter on the staff. Kids love him. How he handles head coaching duties remains to be seen. Helluva pressure cooker to start out in though...
