all I'm saying is that there's a lot of misplaced blame, what was the quote from Malcom X where he said he respects the man that lets me know where I stand rather than the one who pretends he is but is actually the devil? something along those linesi know you want your posts to be about race, dub, but all you're pointing out is that there will always be profiteers within a neglected group who profit at the expense of the group. that's not race. that's human nature.
but none of that excuses the actual mistreatment.
I think that the problem with facts is that they aren't politically correct and not everyone is comfortable talking about them. Take this discussion between Gavin Newsome and Adam CarollaDon't confuse Buckyle and MaxBuck with the facts...

You already provided point #1 of my retort ("necessary a generation ago", actually two generations ago). As for "White Pride", I disagree that it's mainly by Whites who never wanted Blacks to be equal, but rather by Whites who are tired of being labeled for all the world's evils. I do think that many "White Pride" folks go overboard and make the average White person look like a hilljack...
If I were black I'd want respected black leaders speaking for me if I couldn't speak for myself and you could bet I wouldn't want to be patronized by some delusional white guilt liberalYou know that's a quote stating an opinion and not a 'fact', correct?
And a quote presented over a half century prior to the Civil Rights movement in the South (which included Sit Ins, Bus Boycotts, etc.) that proved to ultimately lead to mass societal change. But I suppose those blacks should have just accepted their lot and not put their struggles in the public light.
I get Dub's schtick. He thinks if he posts enough videos of the same black guy on youtube and enough out-of-context quotes from famous black pioneers that will mean that blacks have no reason to ever be concerned about racism. It's at least an original (weak, but original) tactic.
Dave Chappelle has a bit that roughly says the same. I don't really care for anecdotes in online discussion, but sincr they've somehow become "evidence" in the BP Poli forums, I'll give it a go.all I'm saying is that there's a lot of misplaced blame, what was the quote from Malcom X where he said he respects the man that lets me know where I stand rather than the one who pretends he is but is actually the devil? something along those lines
